Chapter 554 - Chapter 554: The Agricultural District

As long as the prices at this general store remained low and stable, other shops in the commercial district wouldn't dare to randomly raise their prices.

This general store was managed by the disciples of Qingyun Peak. After deducting the cost of materials, the sect only took a ten percent profit, leaving the management and operations entirely to the disciples.

Aside from this small general store, Lingxian Sect barely involved itself in 1st Street of the commercial district, leaving the entire space for other sects and factions.

However, there was another area where they had almost complete dominance: the Agricultural District.

In addition to the commercial district, Shuishui City also had an agricultural district, located not far from the commercial area.

Today marked the official opening of the agricultural district as well.

Before leaving the city, many of the leaders of various sects and factions took a quick tour.

What they saw left them stunned.

It really was a place entirely focused on selling agricultural products!

It turned out that the proportion of agricultural products showcased at the auction was merely a restrained display from Lingxian Sect.

The agricultural district had already opened three entire streets. The first street boasted ten shops and twenty stalls, all open and orderly. The other two streets, though not as fully populated with shops, still had a considerable number of establishments.

Each shop and stall sold different products.

On 1st Street, the shops primarily sold seeds of various spiritual plants, including fruits, vegetables, and grains.

The stalls on the same street, however, were filled with mature spiritual grains, rice, and fresh fruits and vegetables.

The vegetables were crisp and vibrant, and the fruits looked full and fragrant.

Amidst the twenty stalls, only one old man was lounging comfortably in a wicker chair, holding a small, steaming tea mug in one hand and a book in the other, seemingly engrossed in his reading. The title on the book's cover read Peach Blossom Void Art, which appeared to be a cultivation manual.

Sensing that someone was watching, the old man looked up from his book and, seeing the group of more than twenty people standing before his stall, asked them:

"Looking to buy something? Feel free to pick. Everything here was freshly harvested this morning—can't get any fresher than this!"

With a wave of his hand, floating translucent numbers appeared above each item, showing the prices. "The prices are listed right there. Just place whatever you pick in those baskets," he added, pointing to a stack of bamboo baskets at his stall.

He then returned to his reading, ignoring the crowd once more as he focused on his Peach Blossom Void Art. His grandson had said that he would test his mastery of the technique that evening, and if he failed, his grandson wouldn't help him with improving his fertilization technique. The old man needed to study hard.

While the elderly man was completely engrossed in his manual, the visitors weren't in the mood to buy anything either.

Despite how enticing the spiritual vegetables and fruits looked, brimming with energy, they were hesitant to spend their spirit stones.

After all, they had already spent a considerable amount at the auction, and their sects would soon need to purchase raw materials to produce goods. Many of their material reserves were running low, and they would likely have to buy from Lingxian Sect or other sects who hadn't attended the auction.

Additionally, they needed to prepare for opening their own shops, which required stocking up on inventory and setting aside funds. In short, there were many expenses ahead, and they needed to save wherever they could.

Still, the cucumbers looked so fresh, and those spiritual grains were plump and fragrant. The tempting scents were enough to make their mouths water.

However, they were all Jin Dan and Yuan Ying-level cultivators, and they had the discipline to resist. They quickly moved on from 1st Street in the agricultural district and headed toward 2nd Street.

Unlike the first street, which primarily dealt in agricultural products, 2nd Street was focused on custom-made agricultural tools.

The shops here were categorized based on the materials used and the grade of tools available for purchase.

Each shop displayed signs at the entrance, clearly marking the primary materials they used and the grades of agricultural tools they could craft.

From spiritual farming tools suitable for Qi Refining cultivators to those for Yuan Ying cultivators, the range was extensive.

If customers had specific requirements, they could request custom orders from the shops.

Meanwhile, the street stalls sold ready-made items—standard tools with uniform designs and functions.

At first glance, the sect leaders thought this street might not be as appealing as 1st Street. But after closer inspection, they realized that this street was even more astounding!

Why? Because many of the agricultural tools on sale were of a higher grade than the magical tools they were currently using!

Some of the Yuan Ying cultivators among them were still using third-grade magical tools from their Jin Dan stage, and some Jin Dan cultivators were using second-grade magical tools meant for Foundation Establishment cultivators!

Having tools custom-made to fit their spiritual attributes was a luxury they rarely considered. They were already grateful if their tools could channel their spiritual energy and be used in combat.

Yet here, in Shuishui City's agricultural district, farming tools were categorized by the user's cultivation level and could even be customized according to individual needs.

They were hesitant to believe Lingxian Sect possessed such capabilities, but the items displayed in the nearby stalls proved otherwise. A casual scan with their spiritual senses revealed that these "agricultural tools" were not inferior to third- or fourth-grade magical tools!

If the sect could easily produce such high-grade farming tools, customizing tools to suit a cultivator's unique needs wouldn't be difficult at all.

2nd Street further shattered their perceptions of Lingxian Sect's abilities.

As for 3rd Street...

Although they were reluctant to keep exploring, fearing they might lose their composure, their curiosity got the better of them, and they walked toward it.

In no time, the group of Jin Dan and Yuan Ying elders arrived at 3rd Street.

To their relief, the items sold here didn't push the boundaries of their understanding... for the most part.

Spiritual fertilizers—yes, they knew about those.

No. 1 Spirit Fertilizer, No. 2 Spirit Fertilizer, No. 3 Spirit Fertilizer... What? Why were there numbered fertilizers?

As they moved closer, they noticed small signs next to each type of fertilizer, detailing which spiritual plants and what kinds of soil each fertilizer was best suited for.

"Wow, Lingxian Sect really seems to know a lot about farming," someone couldn't help but remark.

Further down the street, they discovered various insect-repelling formation disks.

"This sect's passion for farming is unparalleled in my life," another person commented.

Deeper into the street, they even found pills specifically designed for nourishing fields and spiritual plants!

"Lingxian Sect certainly takes their farming seriously..." someone else noted.

At the end of the street, they found a variety of insects for sale. Each species came with a sign explaining how it could benefit certain types of spiritual fields.

One species, in particular, caught their attention. From birth, it enriched the fields it lived in, its breathing nourished the soil, and it enjoyed pollinating crops. Its diet consisted of decaying plant matter and harmful pests from spiritual fields, and its waste was a premium-grade fertilizer. Even its body, after death, could further enrich the fields. It was the ultimate farming companion—a perfect little worker for spiritual fields!
