Wei Yuan returned from the Wilderness with the cultivators, and they went to recuperate and repair their bodily injuries on their own.
Wei Yuan, however, entered the Pure Land Temple, glanced at the eight sticks of incense in the censer, then picked up the Three Realms As You Wish Scripture. After pondering for a moment, he left the temple and once again returned to the Wilderness alone.
This time, he did not go to Fengmang Fortress but instead chose a random deserted wilderness. He sat on a flat stone and summoned a writing desk and paper. Wei Yuan lifted his pen, feeling as if the bamboo pen weighed a thousand pounds.
He pondered for a long time before he wrote:
"...Anyone who seeks shall find a response; anyone who needs shall receive. The elders are cared for, and the young are taught. The common people live in peace, enjoying the happiness of tranquility. Ensure that all living things find their place, and all beings fulfill their wishes..."
