Seconds later, Reiger released his fingers from Yarad's forehead.
"Just as I thought."
Having read Yarad's memories, Reiger wore an unsurprised expression, prompting Melo, who had returned his sword, and Naisa, who was holding her staff, to step forward.
"How is it, Your Excellency?"
"Was it his doing?"
Melo and Naisa asked successively.
"It was him," Reiger said flatly, "he had long been in cooperation with those abyss followers from the Dark Relief Center. Whether it's the guest house prepared for us or the late arrival of the Libion Duchy's army, it was all his doing behind the scenes."
Upon hearing this, Melo revealed a hate-filled expression.
"It really was him; I just felt that the Dark Relief Center's attack went too smoothly."
Melo truly wished to cut off Yarad's head with a sword.
If it weren't for him, they wouldn't have faced such humiliation.
