An Hour Later

Void arrived at the secret base.

It was massive , built deep within the heart of the forest.

He stood at the edge, watching armed guards patrol with rifles and grenades. The sight made him chuckle.

Instead of sneaking in, Void simply began walking straight toward them.

What was the point of hiding when you could crush anyone who stood in your way?

This was the pride , the arrogance of a demon.

Unlike devils, who schemed in shadows, demons were direct. Cunning at times, yes, but they believed in strength above all else.

The moment the guards saw him, they opened fire without hesitation.

Bullets tore through the air — rat-tat-tat-tat!

Void didn't even blink.

He nodded slightly, as if approving their courage, then moved.

Bones shattered. Screams echoed.

In less than ten minutes, the entire field had fallen silent , save for the moans of broken men still clinging to life.

Void didn't kill them; he simply broke their bodies, leaving them crippled. "No point wasting good screams," he muttered with a faint grin.

He walked deeper into the base until he reached a massive steel door.

Through the glass observation window, he spotted an old man inspecting a sleek, black device , the anti-matter bomb.

After a bit of… "chatting" (and the sound of a few bones snapping), Void learned something shocking:

The Lin family had built a backup remote detonator.

Once pressed, every bomb they'd ever made would detonate simultaneously.

Void raised a brow. "If that's true, this entire world will burn."

He couldn't help but wonder what kind of madness the Lin family had been planning.

He pushed the heavy door open and froze.

Inside were human body parts, floating in giant tubes filled with greenish liquid.

And along the walls… children , dozens of them locked in cages.

"Humans," Void whispered. "Truly despicable creatures."

He actually felt a flicker of pity.

For a moment, something inside him stirred not compassion, but disappointment.

He destroyed every tube, shattering the glass and letting the fluids spill across the cold floor. Then he approached the cages.

Inside, small children stared at him with terrified eyes.

Some were missing arms, others legs replaced with crude mechanical parts. The room smelled of oil, blood, and fear.

Void knelt beside one cage. "Don't worry," he said softly, forcing a smile.

His clothes were riddled with bullet holes, and yet his voice was calm, almost gentle.

Hearing his tone and remembering the screams outside ,the children's eyes lit up with fragile hope.

He unlocked the cage.

A little girl, no older than eight, stumbled out. Her metal limbs clanked faintly as she ran to him and hugged his leg.

"Thank you, sir," she whispered, crying into his knee.

Void smiled and patted her head.

"Awwn… so cute," he said warmly.

The others began crawling out too, drawn by the sight.

Then, Void's smile widened just slightly.

"Well," he said. "I did say I'd help you… but I never said I'd save you."

Before the girl could react snap!

Her head fell cleanly from her body, blood spraying across his face.

The children screamed, retreating in horror but Void didn't stop.

He picked up another one and tore him apart effortlessly.

When it was over, more than two hundred children lay lifeless.

Void looked down at his hands, soaked in blood.

They weren't trembling.

He didn't feel guilt.

He didn't feel rage.

He just… felt normal.

It was like humans stepping on ants.

They didn't feel guilt either ,maybe because ants were small, weak, and insignificant.

Humans didn't even notice when they killed thousands every day.

Now, humans were the ants, and Void finally understood that.

"Maybe I'm twisted," he murmured, "or maybe this is who I've always been."

Either way, he felt relief , a strange peace in his madness.

Besides, this world would soon fall into hell. Killing them now was, in a way… a kindness.

"Sigh. I'm getting worse," Void said flatly, shaking blood from his hands. "My rationality's slipping away."

He transformed into his full demon form towering at over four meters and picked up both the remote detonator and the anti-matter bombs.

The Lin family had made ten of them already.

Unlike the old Earth, this world's technology was a decade or two ahead. Anti-matter wasn't rare here , it was weaponized.

Most guards were unconscious, but a few still awake began screaming when they saw him.

"Demon!" they shouted in horror.

Void smirked. "Yes, a demon," he replied calmly. "Remember the name… Void...."

He paused, then shook his head.

"Forget it. You'll all be dead in a few months anyway."

He turned and began walking away.

****

A kilometer later, he stopped. "Let's begin."

He started to run.

10 km/h.

100.

500.

1,000.

Then boom! ...10,000 km/h.

Eight times the speed of sound.

The anti-matter bombs strapped to his back stayed stable, protected by the mysterious alloy that housed them.

Satellites immediately picked up his movement.

At first, the control center assumed it was a test flight , maybe a new jet prototype.

But when they zoomed in, they saw it was too close to the ground.

Before they could even react, the signal disappeared.

Void now ran across oceans, his feet slicing through water like blades.

He no longer needed to breathe, no longer needed to rest.

He had already studied the map , he knew exactly where to place each bomb.

By the end of the day, Void had infiltrated every secret base across the globe and stolen every nuclear weapon in existence.

Every nation ,every superpower had at least a hundred nukes.

And Void grinned with satisfaction as he stacked them.

"Ahh, thank you, human leaders," he said with mock cheer. "You've saved me so much trouble."

**********

A Month Later...

The world was in turmoil the loss of their nuclear warheads to a four-meter-tall monster had thrown every nation into chaos.

Void stood at the edge of Junbai Forest, the place where the portal had first appeared.

Once a tourist attraction, Junbai had become a forbidden zone filled with ghost stories, strange disappearances, and the sudden emergence of a five-hundred-meter-wide magma pool that had left scientists baffled.

Now, Void had everything in place. But before setting things in motion, he wanted to test the extent of his power.

In the Abyss, as a Middle-Level Rank 0 demon, Void could only create a pit about five meters wide with his full strength. But here, in this world…

He raised his fist and slammed it into the ground.

BOOM!

The earth within a ten-kilometer radius sank a hundred meters deep, and massive cracks spread like veins across the land.

"Nice," Void grinned, admiring the destruction.

"Let it begin," he murmured, and pressed the button.

BOOM!!!

A deafening explosion erupted across the globe. Every anti-matter bomb detonated simultaneously.

Everything flammable ignited instantly; the shockwave swept through continents, leveling cities and reducing forests to ash.

Radiation spread like a deadly mist.

Millions died instantly, and countless more followed suffocating under the toxic fog that blanketed the world, a mixture of smoke and nuclear poison that blotted out the sun.

Landmasses crumbled and sank beneath the oceans.

And at the center of it all stood Void, the architect of the world's end.

He hovered over the ocean's surface, eyes glowing faintly red as he began to descend. In a week, he had dug deep enough to reach the planet's core.

The searing heat didn't bother him; if anything, it reminded him of home , the Abyss.

There, within the molten heart of the world, Void found two things:

A ten-meter-tall sphere of light the World's Consciousness, and beside it, a shimmering silver ocean , the World's Origin.

Void didn't hesitate.

He devoured the liquid in a day, then began consuming the World's Will itself.

One Year Later...

A planet drifted silently in the void of space ,a frozen sphere of ice and fractured land.

From afar, it looked like a dead world.

But within… giant beasts roamed freely under an eternal storm.

Then, a massive claw pierced through the frozen ground and Void emerged.

He had devoured the world's will, its origin, and annihilated ninety percent of all life.

The system was still counting the souls he had collected.

Void stood on the icy plain and gazed around. The world was silent, save for the low growls of monstrous creatures hunting one another.

Voom…

A portal appeared above him, sweeping the snow aside with a surge of energy.

Void looked up and smiled.

"Home," he said softly.

He was about to step in, then paused.

"Wait… I almost forgot something."

With a dark smirk, he turned and ran off.

A day later, he returned and stepped through the portal.

As it closed behind him, a colossal mouth materialized in space and swallowed the dead planet whole.

What Did Void Do?

Simple.

Before leaving, he had given every monster on the planet a drop of his blood.

Out of the thousands that perished, one hundred new, evolved creatures emerged , beings infused with demonic essence.

The Abyss had felt dull lately, with only demons around. So, Void decided to… spice it up.

He remembered a demon novel he once read ,Custom Made Demon King where the demon Roy granted his blood to other beings, turning them into monsters.

Void thought it was worth a try. And it worked.

He named these new beasts Aeron, meaning Destruction.

Void entered the Second Abyss and took a deep breath.

The thick, sulfurous air filled his lungs and his body trembled with excitement.

(Ding!)

Calculation complete.

(Host destroyed a low-level world and met the criteria to evolve to Rank 1 Demon.)

(Host gained 1,000,000 souls from killing 90% of the planet's life.)

(Host devoured the World's Origin and Will, gaining 9,000,000 souls.)

Void nearly cried when he saw the numbers.

"Is it too late to start cultivating?" he muttered bitterly. "What if I couldn't destroy a planet? Would I be stuck at Rank 0 forever?"

Still, it was finally over.

He realized now the truth:

To reach Peak Rank 0, a demon needed 30,000 Rank 0 souls per stat.

To advance from Rank 0 to Rank 1, it required 300,000 souls per stat.

And the only way to gather that much power was through world destruction or by contributing to a war.

Looking at the ten million souls he had amassed, Void laughed.

"System! Add everything! I should be able to reach Middle Rank 1 at least!" he roared joyfully.

(Error)

(Stat conversion in progress...)

(10,000,000 normal souls converted to 1,000,000 Rank 0 souls.)

Void froze.

Then his face darkened.

"...You're kidding me."

The system had waited until now to convert the souls letting him taste the joy of power, only to snatch it away the next second.

"Fuck you!" he shouted.

Still, he sighed and accepted it.

To become a Rank 1 demon, one must destroy a low-level world or contribute at least 1% to the destruction of a middle-level world.

The latter was nearly impossible , a middle-level world was the size of a galaxy.

That's why white portals gates to such worlds were rare in the Second Abyss.

Even so, Void couldn't contain his excitement.

Now he was only one step away.

"System, initiate breakthrough to Rank 1."

(Ding... Host must find a place to undergo breakthrough. You will enter a cocoon state for one month.)

Void blinked in surprise but nodded.

A surge of immense power flooded his body and he broke through, reaching Peak Rank 0.

But before he could even check his stats, an overwhelming pressure descended upon him.

(Ding!)

The Abyss appreciates your contribution. The addition of demonic beasts , Aeron has been accepted. You have received a Blessing.

{Host: Void} {Race: Demon}

{Rank: 0} {Strength: Peak}

{Speed: Peak} {Stamina: Peak}

{Skill: None} {Element: None}

{Height: 5 meters} {Soul: 912,000}

{Blessing: Son of the Abyss}

Effect: Every time you break through a rank, you will directly reach the Quasi Realm.

Void's eyes widened.

His body trembled as his power surged again his aura shifting from Peak Rank 0 to Early Rank 1.

He had officially become a Quasi-Rank 1 Demon.

Void laughed in disbelief, feeling the raw strength course through him.

But then… he noticed something odd.

It was too quiet in the Abyss.

"What's going on?" he muttered, glancing upward.

Then he froze.

High above, nine colossal purple moons hung in the sky, glowing ominously.

"Wait… don't tell me..." Void's eyes widened. "It's that time again…"

And then, he felt something twitching beneath him.
