"Oh, is that so?"

Just as the Cloud ninja team leader, Shimazu Gosuke, let out a mocking taunt, a soft voice laced with a hint of amusement sounded behind his ear.

"What?!"

Shimazu's expression shifted instantly.

Acting on instinct, he lunged forward to create distance from the voice's source. At the same time, he spun the kunai in his hand, gripping it in a reverse hold, and thrust it toward where the sound came from.

Clang!

A crisp metallic clash rang out.

Seimei, wielding a long blade, precisely blocked the kunai's strike.

That's right—the previous two attacks had come from Seimei.

And Shimazu Gosuke, standing before him, had likely deduced his identity from the flurry of shuriken attacks moments ago.

After all, the 'Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique' was an A-rank ninjutsu, mastered by only a select few.

During the Third Shinobi World War, Seimei had used this technique, making it not too difficult for Shimazu to piece together who he was.

That's why Shimazu had tried to goad him just now.

In truth, with Seimei's current strength, he could easily wipe out the entire group without even showing himself.

But considering the benefits, he chose not to.

Rather than simply killing them, he wanted to squeeze out every last bit of their remaining value—draining their chakra completely before finishing them off.

Having his training interrupted to carry out this mission had left him in a foul mood.

And since he was already irritated, he figured he'd make up for it.

So, the chakra of these enemy ninja became his target.

Only by draining them could he soothe his restless mood.

With these thoughts flashing through his mind, Seimei tilted his body slightly, dodging a kunai thrust from another Cloud jonin behind him.

Then, with a swing of his blade, a sharp gust of wind sliced through the air, instantly cutting the sneaking Cloud ninja in half.

But before the body could hit the ground, it transformed into two wooden logs.

Clearly, at the last second, the ninja had used the 'Substitution Technique.'

Seimei wasn't surprised, though.

With his current ocular prowess, even with just his three-tomoe Sharingan active, he could easily track his opponent's movements.

If he really wanted to kill them, he could move much faster.

Shifting his gaze, Seimei used his 'Instant Sword Technique,' appearing behind the nearest Cloud chunin in a flash.

The next moment, he swung his blade.

Slash!

The sound of a blade tearing through flesh echoed.

The Cloud chunin felt a sharp pain in his arm, and his dominant right hand fell to the ground, blood gushing from the severed shoulder.

A scream of agony erupted as the chunin clutched his wound.

Looking at the defenseless enemy before him, Seimei didn't go for the finishing blow. Instead, he dodged another incoming kunai with a flicker of movement.

He then raised his blade to block an attack from Shimazu Gosuke while slightly turning his head, the three tomoe in his eyes spinning rapidly as he locked onto another Cloud jonin charging at him.

The Cloud jonin, seeing this, didn't hesitate. He immediately closed his eyes, halted his advance, and threw his kunai based on instinct.

But in Seimei's eyes, such an attack was as slow as a turtle crawling.

Dodging it effortlessly, Seimei unleashed a powerful surge of chakra, momentarily freezing Shimazu Gosuke's next move.

Seizing the moment, Seimei reached out with his free left hand, forming a chakra sphere about ten centimeters wide. In a flash, he pressed it toward Shimazu's abdomen.

This wasn't just any technique—it was the A-rank, seal-less ninjutsu, the Rasengan!

Sensing the danger, Shimazu immediately used the 'Substitution Technique.'

Crack!

A wooden log shattered under the Rasengan's force.

It seemed Shimazu had dodged the attack, but the sensation in Seimei's hand told him he hadn't completely missed.

And indeed, he hadn't.

In the distance, Shimazu's figure reappeared, clutching his abdomen as he spat out a mouthful of blood.

Seimei glanced at him but didn't go for the kill. Instead, he used the 'Instant Sword Technique' again, appearing beside two Cloud chunin standing back-to-back in defense.

With a swing of his blade, infused with 'Wind Release: Vacuum Blade,' he sliced through both of them.

Slash!

The next moment, both had their legs severed.

Familiar screams of pain filled the air.

Ignoring their cries, Seimei flashed to another Cloud chunin, swinging his blade and severing their dominant right hand as well.

The gruesome scene made the remaining Cloud ninja flinch.

But Seimei gave them no time to react. His figure flickered, disabling one Cloud chunin after another by targeting their limbs.

During this, Shimazu Gosuke and the other four Cloud jonin and special jonin tried to stop him, but Seimei countered their efforts with ease.

Some of the targeted Cloud chunin seemed to realize Seimei was intentionally sparing their lives.

So, despite their severed limbs, they tried to fight back, hoping to create an opening for their jonin leaders.

But unfortunately, in the face of absolute strength, all their schemes were futile.

Their skills might have been elite among chunin, but against Seimei, they were nothing.

With a single glance, he saw through their intentions and didn't fall for their tricks.

In fact, he sometimes deliberately misled them, turning their plans against them to deal with the five Cloud jonin trying to intervene.

One Cloud special jonin fell for this, giving Seimei an opening to sever his arm, rendering him unable to form seals.

Another was left with a deep, bone-revealing wound, drastically reducing their combat ability.

In the end, only Shimazu Gosuke and two other jonin leaders remained standing.

The rest were either gravely injured or trapped in Sharingan genjutsu, unable to break free.

With no one else to hold him back, Shimazu and the two jonin exchanged glances, preparing to attack Seimei.

Not because they thought they could win—based on scattered intel from this mission and what they'd gathered during the Third Shinobi World War, Seimei's strength was far beyond what the three of them could handle together.

But with the situation as it was, fleeing wasn't an option. They had no choice but to fight to the death.

However, Seimei didn't give them the chance.

His gaze swept over their faces, and he subtly activated his Byakugan, confirming no one was watching within a two-kilometer radius. With a slight smile, he suddenly activated his Mangekyo Sharingan.

The next moment, his figure vanished from their sight.

"What?!"

The three were stunned.

Before they could react, Seimei dispelled his 'Heavenly Control,' appearing behind one of them.

"Watch out!"

One of the others spotted him and shouted a warning.

But it was too late. Before the targeted jonin could react, Seimei's blade sliced through, severing his arm.

Then, his figure vanished again.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared behind another jonin.

This time, forewarned by his teammate's expression, the Cloud jonin didn't hesitate. He lunged forward, trying to dodge the attack from behind.

But the next moment, an invisible force pulled him back, sending him flying toward Seimei.

Slash!

The blade struck again.

Another arm fell.

Now, of the Cloud ninja, only Shimazu Gosuke remained with any fighting capability.
