Ten minutes later.
Seimei finished sifting through the shadow clone memories and swallowed every last drop of training EXP they'd scraped together.
No time to dick around. He headed straight for the wooden cabin.
Tomorrow he was jumping right back into body-forging hell so he could nail down the exact date of his next transformation. Staying up late? Hard pass.
He rinsed off in the stream, stepped inside the cabin, and crashed. Night was dead quiet.
Next morning.
Seimei dragged himself out of bed at the ass-crack of dawn, splashed some water on his face, then choked down a handful of souped-up soldier pills. Good enough for breakfast.
Back in the central clearing of Moonlight Island, he slammed his hands together—boom—1,100 shadow clones popped into existence.
Like always, he rolled them all up into a sealed scroll, topped off his own chakra to full, then hit the Wood Clone jutsu.
His shoulder bulged and spat out a wooden clone like it was coughing up a splinter.
Seimei tossed the scroll over. "Go."
The wood clone gave a curt nod, snatched the scroll, sprouted wind wings and a glowing chakra cloak, then shot northeast toward the Land of Fire like a bat out of hell.
Seimei watched him disappear, refilled his tank again, then—bam—another 220 shadow clones.
"You lot know the drill. Get your asses underground and keep smashing those seven nature fusions together."
The clones split into squads and vanished into the labs below.
Left alone, Seimei was just about to Flying Thunder God his way back into the volcano when something clicked.
He paused, smirked, and popped the wood clone that had been napping near the cabin.
Instant top-off, plus a nice little surplus he shoved into the weird third-eye space between his brows.
Prep complete.
He flipped open his ninja pouch, pulled out a scroll absolutely plastered with sealing formulas, and a giant bold "SEAL" right in the middle.
The one holding Danzō's Edo Tensei corpse.
For years he'd been milking that old warhawk for 1.5 million chakra points a day through the seal. Today? He wasn't here for the juice.
He was here to crack the bastard's skull open and read the mail.
Way back when he first sealed the guy, Seimei had tried peeking into his memories. Danzō, being the paranoid psycho he was, had layered his own brain with so many self-destruct seals that all Seimei got was surface-level garbage. Nothing useful.
Time for round two.
Why now? Simple.
Yesterday he remembered his little side project: hunting down Jūgo's birthplace—that freakishly rich natural-energy hotspot.
The sooner the better.
Problem was, he had zero clue where the hell Jūgo was even from. The "northern hideout" Orochimaru kept him in? No GPS coordinates in his past-life memories.
So why not squeeze Danzō?
That old creep was balls-deep in Orochimaru's business and had a control-freak obsession. No way he didn't have dirt stashed away on every lab and hideout the snake ever built.
If Orochimaru had that northern base up and running early, Danzō would know exactly where it was.
Boom—straight shot to Jūgo, then straight shot to the motherlode of natural energy.
Even if Danzō didn't know the spot, Seimei would still walk away with Orochimaru's current contact info or some other juicy leverage. Win-win.
Because right now? Sound Village doesn't exist yet. Good luck knocking on a door that hasn't been built.
Last piece: why was he so sure he could crack Danzō's brain seals now?
Rinnegan, baby.
Four months ago he unlocked the damn things. Sure, he'd been too busy grinding to fully flex on the Six Paths powers, but during downtime he'd still cooked up some nasty tricks.
He took his old mind-reading jutsu, slammed it together with the Human Path's soul-ripping memory extraction, and boom—custom memory readout.
Then he took Chakra Absorption and turned it into something even nastier than Pain's Preta Path Blocking Technique. Pain's version still choked on natural energy and turned people into trees if you overfed it.
Seimei? Sage Mode laughs at that limit. He drinks chakra and natural energy like they're cheap sake.
So yeah, his version is straight-up better.
Anyway—back to business.
Seimei formed a quick seal and popped the "Heavenly Restriction: Total Seal" on the scroll.
The giant "SEAL" character vanished.
A thick, nasty plume of chakra exploded out, hit the ground, and reformed into Danzō's cracked-up Edo Tensei body.
The old man blinked, totally lost—like someone just yanked him out of a five-year coma.
Fair. Seimei had kept the seal actively lobotomizing him the whole time, turning him into nothing but a juice box on life support. No thoughts, head empty, just chakra.
Dude was understandably confused.
Seimei didn't give him time to finish booting up.
Rinnegan flared open—silver-white eyes glowing like twin moons.
The sheer pressure snapped Danzō awake. Recognition hit, then pure shock when he clocked the eyes.
"You—"
That's all he got out.
Seimei's hand shot up. Invisible pull—Heavenly Attraction—yanked Danzō forward like a ragdoll.
Smack.
Palm clamped down on the old man's skull.
Rinnegan memory extraction activated.
In less than a heartbeat every single one of Danzō's brain seals shattered like glass.
And just like that, Seimei was in—diving straight into the old bastard's deepest, darkest memories.
