Chapter 15 - Kill

"Roar!"

Seeing Su Shan take out her long sword, the Red-haired Ape's fury was completely ignited. After a roar, it launched a fierce attack on Su Shan!

Its thick arm rose high, and its massive fist smashed towards Su Shan.

Su Shan dared not meet the attack head-on and could only flash her figure, constantly dodging the Red-haired Ape's attacks.

Her footsteps were light and agile, weaving through the Red-haired Ape's attacks, occasionally unleashing several fiery Sword Qi.

The fiery Sword Qi hissed as it struck the Red-haired Ape's body.

The Red-haired Ape had thick skin and flesh; the Sword Qi only left a few tiny bloodstains on its body.

Seeing this, Fang Hong immediately joined the battle. The dart Magical Artifact, under his control, shot towards the Red-haired Ape's head.

The dart's speed was extremely fast, reaching the Red-haired Ape in the blink of an eye.

The Red-haired Ape felt the threat from the dart and had to divert some of its attention to deal with it.

With Fang Hong's addition, Su Shan's pressure greatly reduced.

Her spirits lifted, and the long sword in her hand danced even more fiercely.

The two, one on the left and one on the right, gradually developed a tacit understanding and attacked together.

Under their combined assault, they quickly gained the upper hand, gradually suppressing the Red-haired Ape!

"Roar!"

After fighting for a moment, the Red-haired Ape seemed to be thoroughly enraged. It let out an angry roar, and the Aura emanating from its body suddenly exploded.

A powerful force surged from its body, forming a wave of Qi that pushed Fang Hong and Su Shan back several steps.

Immediately after, the Red-haired Ape's huge fists began to emit a strange light!

Fang Hong immediately felt a bad premonition. This Red-haired Ape was definitely about to unleash some powerful Move. If they didn't interrupt it in time, both of them would probably be in trouble.

Fang Hong quickly pulled out two Talismans from the cloth pouch at his waist and injected a bit of magical power into them.

In an instant, the two Talismans transformed into two purple electric arcs, fiercely striking the Red-haired Ape's body and interrupting its charge!

"High-grade Lightning Talisman! What a good opportunity!" Su Shan's face lit up with joy at this sight.

She immediately seized the rare opportunity, waved the long sword in her hand, and thrust it towards the Red-haired Ape's heart.

"Pfft!"

Before the Red-haired Ape could recover, the long sword had already pierced its heart.

Immediately after, Su Shan cast a Fireball spell to send it flying, smashing heavily into a nearby spot!

The Red-haired Ape let out a mournful roar, struggled a few times on the ground, its limbs twitching slightly, and then completely lost its breath... Fang Hong and Su Shan both breathed a sigh of relief.

Su Shan retracted her long sword. She looked at Fang Hong and said with a smile, "It's a good thing we had Fellow Daoist's high-grade Lightning Talisman, otherwise it would have been very difficult to deal with this beast."

"Not at all, not at all, Fellow Daoist's high-grade Magical Artifact is also very sharp!" Fang Hong nodded, returning a smile.

"Since this ape has been dealt with, it's time for us to explore this cave," Su Shan said, pointing to the hidden cave, a hint of expectation in her eyes.

"Does Fellow Daoist not want the Red-haired Ape's corpse?" Fang Hong said, walking to the Red-haired Ape's corpse and squatting down.

This was a Second-Level Demon Beast. If fed to the demon gourd and refined into Spirit Pills, the effect would surely be good.

Su Shan shook her head and said, "There are no valuable Materials on this Red-haired Ape, so I don't want it."

"Alright, since Fellow Daoist doesn't want it, then this Red-haired Ape is all mine." Fang Hong's heart rejoiced at the words, but his face remained impassive.

Behind Su Shan's back, he quietly took out the demon gourd, injected a wisp of magical power, and instantly sucked the Red-haired Ape's corpse inside, then put the demon gourd away.

His movements were extremely swift; Su Shan didn't notice at all.

"Hmm? Fellow Daoist took the entire corpse?" Su Shan looked at Fang Hong's strange actions and couldn't help but ask curiously.

Fang Hong casually made up a story: "Oh, I have a friend who specializes in collecting Demonic Beast corpses. I can exchange it for quite a few Spirit Stones..."

Su Shan nodded, not pressing for more questions.

After all, in the Immortal Realm, there were many eccentric people and strange occurrences, and collecting a few corpses was not uncommon.

Afterward, Fang Hong stood up and once again controlled the dart.

Under his control, the dart, like a sharp blade, flew towards the vines covering the cave entrance.

"Swish swish swish..."

Wherever the dart went, the vines were cut, and soon, a cave entrance about a zhang wide appeared before the two.

Fang Hong and Su Shan exchanged glances, then simultaneously walked towards the cave, but both deliberately maintained a certain distance, clearly wary of each other.

"Wait a moment, let me set up a small Formation, lest we be ambushed from behind." Su Shan suddenly stopped at the cave entrance and took out two small Formation Flags from her Storage Pouch.

These two small Formation Flags were palm-sized, with mysterious Formation seals drawn on them, emitting faint spiritual energy fluctuations.

She inserted the small Formation Flags on both sides of the cave entrance, then placed a Spirit Stone at the Formation Flag, and the Formation was activated.

A faint light flashed, and the view of the cave, when seen from the outside, was completely concealed.

"I didn't expect Fellow Daoist Su to also be proficient in Formations!" Fang Hong was greatly surprised to see the method Su Shan employed and exclaimed in admiration.

"Proficient is too strong a word, it's just a low-level concealment Formation. Let's continue," Su Shan said with a faint smile.

Subsequently, the two walked side by side along the cave.

They walked cautiously, their Divine Sense spread out, fearing any sudden danger.

After walking for about several tens of zhang, they finally reached the end of the cave.

An iron door about a zhang in size appeared in their sight.

The iron door was covered in rust, looking as if it had been stored for decades.

Both of them carefully examined the iron door with their Divine Sense, fearing any traps on it.

As their Divine Sense swept over the iron door, both of them frowned, having found nothing unusual.

After checking, the two exchanged glances, felt there were no problems, and then each extended a hand, carefully pushing the iron door.

"Rumble..." The iron door slowly opened, emitting a dull sound.

A spacious stone room appeared before their eyes. The first thing that came into view was a stone tombstone.

In another corner of the stone room, a lush, verdant tree was growing.

The tree's trunk was thick, its leaves dense, and six golden fruits hung from its branches, shimmering with spiritual light and emitting a rich fragrance.

This fragrance permeated the entire stone room, invigorating anyone who smelled it!
