Before anyone could do anything, they hear something moving past the trees and rushes at a breakneck pace then two loud crunches can be heard from the left and the right. From where Lori said the ground was getting warmer, something burst from the ground, and as the dust settled they all see it, three giant purple ants that were as tall as a horse, one of them from the right and left, and the last one where it bursted through the ground.
Connor:We dealt with worse, first one to get hurt has to buy the rest of dinner
Sophia:ugh we can't use our normal weapon, but I won't get hurt by these insects
She tossed her Assault rifle to the ground and dual wields two combat knifes
The ant that brusted from the ground charges in and goes to chomp Connor but when it gets close Sophia moves unnaturally fast until she between the ant and Connor and stabs each of her knives into the ant pincers and with enough for it to bring it all the to the floor,mas she moves down with it and Connor raises his assault rifle and shoots the ant 6 times in the head killing it. The ants from the left and right start to rush in, Dexter with his riot shield runs to the ant on the right with unnaturally fast speed and slams the shield into the ant head with full force as the ant almost falls over.
Dexter:I'll keep this one distracted you two kill the other one
Connor aims at the last one and shoots it again in the head killing it and then he looks as Dexter as he raises his fist and punches the ant in the head as the punch caves the exoskeleton in, killing the ant.
Lori:no more targets nearby
They all head toward and when they reach the harm spot they see it's a giant hole and using the drone to look down they see it's one giant ant hill.
Connor: Cole you have the grenades and explosive cores correct?
Cole:yes, I have both of them
Connor:Let's do the same thing we did to the worms in one of our first missions
Cole takes out a black bag as he toss each member a semi translucent glowing blue orb. They all place it in each Cardinal direction about 10 feet away from the hole. After they place it Connor goes to Cole as he give Connor a black bag then he walks to the hole and reaches in the bag and pulls out a grenade as he tosses the bag down the hole and then he takes the pin out of the grenade and throws it at the bag and he runs at unnaturally fast speed till he reaches 5 foot from the blue orb on the ground, like it was on cue the moment he stopped and turned around to face the hole the explosions went off as they all felt the ground tremble beneath their feet, and after a bit they hear it, hundreds of them coming up the surface.
Lori:Ummm, so I got bad news and worse news, what do you want to hear first
Connor:worse then bad
Lori:ok so worse news..... The intel was wrong it's not just a few tens of ants and a queen, it's a few hundred ants and the bad news the amount of orbs we have should kill most of them we play it right
Sophia:we faced worse
The giant hole goes silent as they all look at each other then ants start coming out of it as they all crawl out and when they are over the ants , Connor speaks.
Connor:Shoot
All them fire at the orbs as when the bullets make contact with the orb it creates a huge explosion blowing up some of the ants and knocking some of them back down the hole.
Connor:I'm not going to lie it's you, we can't kill that many, so lets kill as many as we can then head back to camo
Meanwhile at the warehouse where Monri and his friends played, are Justine and Bruce.
Justine:Is this where the spike happened? Looks like a party was thrown
She looks up as she pops her neck and when she does that she spots a security camera as he does a swim and sees there are cameras in every corner.
Justine:looks like we can find out what's happened
