Areyos stood motionless before the open window, his gaze lost in the night. The cold crescent moon hung low in the sky, bathing the polished wooden floor in silvery light that accentuated every contour of the muscles on his bare back. Seyca's light footsteps broke the silence behind him.
"You really seem lost in thought… Does losing hurt that much?"
Areyos turned his head slightly to look at her over his shoulder, then let out a long breath that formed a small cloud in the cool air. He turned his eyes back to the moon.
"How long have you been here?"
"Quite a while now. Yoko woke up shortly after I did, and the others followed soon after."
"I slept for that long…" Areyos murmured. His gaze settled on nothing in particular. "It's already 10:13 p.m. I guess my body really needed it."
Seyca raised an eyebrow, surprised. A small holographic clock projected by her dimensional necklace floated gently between them: exactly 10:13 p.m.
