Lilith had her own thoughts on the matter. She had consumed enough intelligence reports on the Human Kingdoms to know their history; the Stoneheart Horde had once viewed them as the ultimate obstacle to continental unification.
But the world had changed too fast. The Horde's expansion had outpaced its own ambitions, and the Giant King's stride was too long for his enemies to match. The rivals of yesterday were vanishing—some by force, some by choice.
With the humans retreating to the Bastion, the dragons could have easily swept in to claim the vacuum. Yet, the Dragon Race remained on their islands, silent watchers pretending to see nothing, hoarding their strength.
"My King," Lilith purred, shifting in his lap. "Only the Blood Elves remain. Can't you put a little effort in? The continent is practically begging to be united."
She arched her back against his chest, nuzzling into the crook of his neck. It was the playfulness of a succubus, a prelude to heat.
