THOOM!
A dull, resonant boom echoed across the world. It sounded like a colossal warhammer striking the very atmospheric barrier of the realm, sending shockwaves through every living creature. Immediately after, a blinding light pierced the firmament, driving away the absolute darkness.
"What is that?"
Seraphina had been staring at the sky ever since Orion left, her eyes swimming with curiosity and doubt. She had heard the muffled explosion before she saw the light. The sound hadn't traveled through the air; it was the physical vibration of the world's cosmic laws being struck.
"Orion!"
As the one who shared his bed, Seraphina instantly recognized the silhouette in the light. It was her man. Up in the heavens, Orion had fully extended his eight arms in a heavenward embrace, as if he were trying to hold up the blinding mass of light above him. The imagery looked like an ancient myth carved into a Horde's stone monolith.
