There was not a single word in the dictionary capable of describing what the wolves were feeling right now. Some of them fell to their knees, their legs no longer able to support them while their mouths hung open in disbelief.
What had they just witnessed?
This was impossible.
They stared at Violet now, finally seeing her in a completely different light. She was not merely a wolf but a god. A freaking goddess of destruction.
To think she possessed enough power to wipe them all out with a single breath and still chose restraint.
No. They could barely withstand her gaze.
One wolf suddenly dropped to his knees and cried out with a broken spirit.
"Lo, have mercy upon this miserable creature," he begged before lifting his head toward the heavens and shouting at the top of his lungs, "The goddess has returned to us in human form!"
It sounded like the ramblings of a fool.
Until another wolf fell to his knees.
