Greetings reader. It seems you've come across an interesting sight. Commonwealth isn't exactly fond of independent supers. No, not one bit.
Especially the state of Stickville.
After an incident that nearly destroyed the place involving supers, the minister of Stickville made it paramount that the governmental supers weren't caught dead there. While this law kept them out for years, supers do have a habit of appearing where they're not wanted.
That doesn't remove the fact they may be needed...
And appear they did. Independent from any government or political power. Multi Man, Archangel, Symbol... so many new names and faces fighting so many new threats to the cities across Stickville.
However, there are threats no one super can stop. Threats that need them to come together and form a society of their own.
This is the story of how such a threat made the first super team in Stickville.
WARNING! DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU'RE CAUGHT UP TO THE EVENTS OF CHAPTER 117!
Now with that out of the way, this is the timeline for the Hero Alliance. The only team capable of competing with the Super Society...
September 11, 2150...6 months before Greem Guardien makes his debut as a solo hero...
Goddawn meditates in an ancient Order cult temple. He realizes his worship of Chaos may spell doom for the earth. He then gets a vision of a message in his head.
An angel warns him that something is coming to destroy the earth and the only way to stop it is to gather 6 heroes to fight it off.
Suddenly, the temple is attacked by an army of Nephilim. Surprised, Goddawn battles them, but their numbers are too great, so he retreats. He realizes the message's warning is happening right now and decides to find the heroes.
Luckily, he had been observing some of them operating in Stickville...
In Sentry City, Symbol is going on his usual patrol while talking to Wildstar over the phone. She moved to Commonwealth with the Gamma Squad and wanted to talk Symbol into joining her, but he refuses as he's the only one guarding the city.
Speaking of which, he sees a cloaked mugger attacking a woman and drops in to stop it, only to see both the mugger and woman are Nephilim. He defeats them, but more Nephilim appear and try to capture him.
Suddenly, Goddawn appears and, after a brief chat, teleports Symbol away. The Nephilim then leave Sentry City to find their next target.
Meanwhile, in Hope City...
Gargoyle is standing over the base of the Shockwave Organization, which she had been tracking for a while. She drops in and takes on the army of gauntlet-wearing criminals and is surrounded, but then the Nephilim fly in.
The monsters start attacking and kidnapping the Shockwave soldiers. Gargoyle tries to fight them, but is outmatched due to their insane numbers. As they are about to capture her as well, Symbol and Goddawn appear and fight them off. Gargoyle questions who they are, but Goddawn merely teleports her out of the city.
The Nephilim take the last of the Shockwave soldiers and leave Hope City in search of their next target...
Goddawn had teleported Symbol and Gargoyle to the sewers of Hope City so they can rest and think of a battle plan. Gargoyle attacks the two, demanding answers, and Symbol restrains her while Goddawn explains the situation.
Understanding but still skeptical, Gargoyle joins the two as Goddawn tells them they need to find Archangel in Blessed City.
Later, the trio arrive at the Blessed City docks, but just when they begin their search, Hellhound appears and sneak attacks Goddawn, knocking him out. Symbol faces Hellhound and, with some teamwork with Gargoyle, they take him down. As the two head to wake Goddawn up, Archangel arrives. Symbol tries to de-escalate the situation, but Archangel thinks they're working for Goddawn, who he also thinks is evil, so he attacks Symbol, knocking him out.
Gargoyle tries to fight Archangel, but is severely outclassed. Just when Archangel is about to knock her out as well, Betty, who goes by the name Heart, protects Gargoyle and berates Archangel for attacking Goddawn. Goddawn wakes up and, thanks to Heart de-escalating the situation, he's able to explain why he's here and needs their help.
Just as he does though, there is an explosion in downtown Blessed City, so the 6 heroes head out to see the problem.
When they arrive, they see the city is being attacked by an army of Nephilim who are kidnapping people as well. The 6 work together and battle the Nephilim, but just as they're about to drive them away, lightning strikes and two beings walk out of the explosion: an angel with one wing called Camael and a giant creature he calls Justice.
Camael attacks the group, taking out Symbol and Hellhound and battling Archangel, while the rest struggle with Justice.
As the battle rages on, Camael defeats Archangel in a stunning show of power and takes him away. Heart tries to chase him down, but Goddawn, knowing the fight can't be won, tells Heart to teleport them all away, and she reluctantly does so.
They are teleported to Rick's Pizza shop where they rest. Goddawn fully explains the situation: an ancient power is looming over Earth and wants to destroy it due to the chaos corruption he helped increase across the planet. Gargoyle berates him for causing this mess, and he agrees he's at fault for everything and wants the group to stop this threat.
He reveals that in his vision, he saw a giant orb above the earth where the Nephilim are from, so the group decide to destroy it and save Archangel.
Betty wants to save Andy and everyone the Nephilim kidnapped.
Symbol wanted the group to call the Super Society, but Goddawn tells him following his vision is the only way to save the world.
Gargoyle agrees with Symbol, but Goddawn shuts her down. She agrees to join the fight anyway.
Goddawn then notes a disturbance in his vision. He senses a group of planes heading out to battle the giant space orb, which were sent by the president of Stickville.
Goddawn then orders Heart to teleport them to the Stickville government office, and she agrees.
At the office, the team appears before the minister of Stickville who goes by the name of Blam, and Gargoyle and Goddawn convince him to let them fight the orb and call back his men.
Although he's hesitant at first, Goddawn shows him a slimmer of his visions and after witnessing the horrors of the future, he reluctantly agrees.
He asks for the group's name and Symbol calls them a group of heroes in an alliance, in other words, the Hero Alliance. The others scoff at the name, while Betty laughs and calls him funny.
Blam on the other hand loves the name.
The Alliance arrive at the orb to find it's a giant metallic world half the size of the moon.
Just when Gargoyle starts to formulate a plan, a massive army of Nephilim swarm them. They try to fight them off, but are quickly overwhelmed.
Gargoyle tells them to retreat, but Camael and Justice appear where they are and attack them. Just when all looks hopeless, another angel appears calling herself Areal along with an army of angels. She distracts Camael and Justice with her angelic powers, and Heart opens a portal to let the group escape.
At Areal's base, she reveals she was the one sending Goddawn his visions and the reason why the orb is here in the first place.
A millennium ago, when Oderon, King of the Angels, made the Nephilim to root out all chaos corruption in the mortal realm, multiple angels opposed him, some of which were Atreus, Andy's mother, and Azrael, Areal and Camael's father.
When the war was over, the angels who rebelled were exiled from their realm and went into hiding in the mortal realm. Azrael, seeing the chaos corruption spread throughout different worlds in the mortal realm, was disgusted and sought to use the planet's Nephilim to eradicate it.
First, he conquered the planet of Ryxon and had two children, Areal and Camael.
He then turned the planet into a mobile weapon, using their Nephilim to eradicate all life on the world, and if they failed, mortals from that world would be taken to the core of the world where they would be turned into fuel for an in-built laser that would completely destroy the victim planet.
Areal, who was loyal to Ryxon, gathered a rebellion and had been fighting her father ever since this started, sending visions to chaos worshippers on the victim worlds so they have a fighting chance.
Earth was the first to actually stand one.
Gargoyle devises a plan to defeat Azrael. Her group, consisting of her, Heart, and some rebels, would find where the kidnapped innocents are being kept, while Goddawn's group, consisting of him, Hellhound, Symbol, and other rebels, would distract Azrael and his forces, allowing Areal to disarm the laser.
After much discussion and deliberation, they agree and head to Azrael's main temple.
At the temple, Azrael tortures Archangel and explains he loved his mother, which was his main reason for joining the rebellion. Now he hates her for guiding him astray from his angelic duty. Now he tortures her son as a way of getting back at her.
The group appears on top of them, and Gargoyle's group sneak away while Symbol, Hellhound, and Goddawn attack Azrael directly. Heart tries to jump in and rescue Andy, but Gargoyle stops her and forces her to follow the plan.
Gargoyle tells Heart to use her powers to teleport the civilians back to Earth, and after some difficulty, she does, thinking about Andy.
Meanwhile, Areal heads to where the bomb is, but is ambushed by Camael. She battles her brother, but when he summons Nephilim to distract her, Gargoyle appears, revealing that she had been following Areal, and takes care of the Nephilim, allowing Areal to fight her brother.
Meanwhile, Goddawn and Symbol battle Azrael while Hellhound battles the Nephilim and tries to free Archangel. He is then attacked by Justice, who proves more than a match for him.
Heart keeps teleporting the civilians, but hears Andy's screams which distract her, but she powers through, knowing he would've wanted her to think of the civilians first.
Hellhound, seeing Andy in so much pain, gains a second wind and uses it to defeat Justice. Azrael defeats Symbol and fatally wounds Goddawn, so he turns his attention to Hellhound, whom he easily defeats.
Goddawn wakes up and tries to keep Azrael busy despite his injuries, feeling he needs to atone for his sins. Azrael, in a fit of rage, is about to kill Goddawn, but then he's teleported away by Heart, who jumps into the battle after saving all the civilians.
Meanwhile, Gargoyle tries her best to distract Camael while Areal sets a bomb to destroy the laser and, by extension, the planet of Ryxon.
Camael defeats Gargoyle and fatally wounds Areal, but she had already set up the bomb and throws Gargoyle the key. Camael tries to chase down an escaping Gargoyle, but Areal stands in his way.
Heart faces Azrael and is easily defeated multiple times, but her tenacity keeps bringing her back into the fight. Andy tries to break through his bonds, but can't. Azrael, finally having enough of Heart, stabs her through the stomach with his blade, almost killing her.
Archangel, seeing this, loses control of himself and breaks through his bonds with his angelic power, matches Azrael in power, and knocks him down with his power.
Gargoyle arrives and calms Archangel down, telling the group they need to escape Ryxon now. Symbol grabs Goddawn and Archangel grabs Heart as the team make their escape.
Gargoyle tells them Areal revealed to her that the planet has a portal they can use to escape as fast as possible.
They head for the portal, an army of Nephilim chasing them down, and as they near the portal, Azrael appears behind them with the Nephilim and uses his power to destroy the portal from afar. Just when the group lose hope, Heart, still conscious, uses the last of her power to teleport back to Earth.
Meanwhile, Camael kills Areal and tries to move the bomb, but can't in time. The bomb explodes and not only destroys the planet, but sends the debris crashing into the ocean right outside Stickville...
The next day...
The Hero Alliance is gathered in front of a cheering, large crowd as they celebrate them for saving the world. Minister Blame announces these heroes, Symbol, Archangel, Heart, Hellhound, Gargoyle, and more specifically Goddawn, who reluctantly came for this party, as the protectors of Stickville.
Unlike the supers of Commonwealth, the government has no bureaucratic control over these heroes and their activities.
Archangel gives his speech to the crowd and promises to protect not just the country, but the whole world, and calls all heroes hiding in Stickville and the whole world as well to come out and join them to form an Alliance.
A Hero Alliance...
Meanwhile, President Bump watches the speech and laughs at Blam accepting supers for the first time. Major Payne watches the speech as well, angry at the thought of a rival hero organization.
Meanwhile, Sebastian Shane, a military general, shows the speech to Michael, Archangel's brother, and makes a deal with him...
A week later, Goddawn and Gargoyle reveal to everyone that they had turned the remains of Ryxon into a base for the Alliance, and the members of the Shockwave Organization, who had been kidnapped by the Nephilim and saved by Heart, reveal they had left the organization and want to work for the team, much to Gargoyle's surprise...
The team then receive their first threat alert of a giant bird monster attacking Praise City and head there to stop it...
