Walking down a dirt path in the east of the Rain village. Kazuo, Orochimaru and Deidara were returning from the stone village after successfully recruiting the blonde haired explosion maniac.
Deidara had an expression of pure hate on his face as he walked after Kazuo, Orochimaru meanwhile was simply walking next to him with a small smile on his face.
'The fucker still looks like a damn pedo… man how much longer until I can just finally live as I want to.' Kazuo thought to himself, his thoughts having consolidated much as the trio had been walking, his mind having gone back to the last five years.
Dozens of missions had helped him regain his sanity up to a certain point, and had similarly given him time to think about his plans for the future. Survival was still at the top of the list of things that he had to secure and at the current moment, he felt like he had only lowered his own percentages.
Thinking back on his own decisions up to this point, he knew there were many things he could have done better, changes he could have arranged before hand that would have helped him, especially during the nine tails aftermath however at the time he hadnt been exactly in the greatest state of mind.
'Getting rid of the heart seal, thats the main problem currently, the other is getting strong enough to deal with the whole ten tails fiasco, which is something I plan on making happen… the immortality that it grants is just not something I can give up on, its practically the best method of eternal life with no side effects, and considering that I could end up on an eternal loop of dying if i grew old of age… yeah It's really not something I can afford to not do.' Kazuo thought to himself as he released an inward sigh.
'Alright, lets get started on the easiest of them which in and of itself isnt easy, removing the heart seal. Its on my heart and can somewhat control my body if i remember correctly from how Madara almost made Obito use the rinne rebirth technique in the original time line. The easiest way would be to get strong enough in FuinJutsu so that I can reverse engineer it and then proceed to create something that would either disable it or outright remove the seal. I do have certain ways to do this that others wouldnt, one of them would be simply straight up removing my own heart considering that death doesnt really affect me and then using the minutes I gain from that before death to study the seal or simply create a mental map of it so that i can continue studying it for later use, this however needs me to be at a much higher level of fuinjutsu mastery… which i have already found out, im an absolute dumbass at.' Kazuo thought as he gritted his teeth.
"My my…. What has you so deep in your thoughts Kazuo-kun?" A voice asked from his back.
"Nothing that concerns you Orochi. Nothing at all." Kazuo replied with an easy smile on his face as he turned to face the man, his bloodlust spiking for a moment before he kept it back under control.
It wasnt a loss of control, it was intentional, a slight reminder to the man that the two werent in the best graces.
It was at that moment as the trio were walking down the path that four shinobi appeared with a shunshin jutsu.
They hadn't seemed to have noticed the three of them and were only just now seeing them as recognition dawned inside their eyes.
There were four shinobi, Anbu of the hidden leaf village.
'Kakashi, Itachi and two others that I dont recognise.' Kazuo thought as his expression slowly changed into a deeper smile.
"Well, well, well… if it isnt our fellow shinobi of the leaf." Kazuo said with a soft chuckle as he walked forwards, Deidara and Orochimaru had already stopped walking, though neither seemed to be particularly on edge against mere anbu.
The four anbu however had already entered combat ready stances, their eyes tracking Kazuo's every movement.
*Fshh*
The sound was soft, barely perceptible as if some cloth had been caressed by the wind, however it clearly resonated in the small forest road and by the time the small barely hearable sound had ended, Kazuo had already appeared right next to Kakashi and Itachi, putting a hand on each of their shoulders.
Itachi, who already had his three tomoe sharingan activated widened his eyes in shock, his sharigan hadnt seen any movement at all, it had noticed a slight shift at the start and then nothing, it was as if Kazuo had teleported right next to them.
"Go on Kakashi, I don't particularly wish to kill you right now." Kazuo spoke, his voice sounding clearly amused as he lowered his head and whispered in his ear.
In the very next moment, the other two anbu felt a slight change in their perception as their sight flipped completely. Their heads having already been separated from their bodies.
Kakashi and Itachi didn't hesitate for another second as they instantly dropped a smoke bomb and used the shunshin jutsu to vanish from their location at maximum speeds.
"Your not going to give your precious team mate a parting gift?" Orochimaru asked amused as he finally walked forward towards Kazuo.
"Don't. I don't think angering the fourth Hokage any further is of any use to the plans of the Akatsuki." Kazuo replied as he continued walking further down the dirt path.
"And besides… who said that I didn't give them a parting gift?" Kazuo asked with a soft chuckle of his voice, the sound was soft yet the implications instantly slammed on both Orochimaru and Deidara.
They hadn't been able to see or notice anything.
Meanwhile, Kakashi and Itachi continued running away, a feeling as if they were being chased inside their minds. It would only be half an hour later that they would discover a small paper tag that released a continuous genjutsu on them both had been slapped on their backs.

This Volume is like an intermission Volume, where there will be events happening and quite a bit of time skips until we reach the main story line time, ofcourse there will also be bigger arcs but yeah. Thanks for reading.
