A hint of anticipation rose within him. Without hesitation, Michael disappeared and reappeared beside Jester.
His gaze immediately fell on the frozen body of the old man. Since the man's consciousness had been erased, the old man should now be nothing more than a shell.
Michael observed him for a moment longer before finally turning his attention to Jester.
"You took your time this time," he said calmly.
Jester inclined his head slightly.
"It could not be helped, Master."
His gaze remained steady as he continued.
"Unlike the previous demonic supernatural, who was at most comparable to me in strength, this individual far surpassed me. Even in a defenseless state, the difference was vast."
