Chapter 168 - Izumi Miyamura: Xover - Chapter 164

Not edited.

"You're still grounded," Mom said as she finally released me from her hug. She cupped my face in her hands and began wiping away my tears. I sighed as I grabbed her face and started wiping hers with my fingers.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know how, but I'll live." I complained childishly. Mom snorted.

"Be grateful I'm not forbidding you from having sex." Mom mocked, and I looked at her indignantly.

"no! Chocolate is punishment enough! " I complained, and Mom snorted.

"Like I said, you're lucky, the punishment is for you, not your fiancées. It would be cruel to take away their sex," Mom finally said. I froze in place and pushed her slightly.

"So they don't get punished, but I do?" I asked incredulously. This was treason, high treason!

"Of course, they just followed the heroes' instructions to the letter; they didn't slack off at any point. Even when the Gate broke, they were following orders from the highest-ranking hero. You should learn something from them." Mom sneered as she finally stood up and dusted herself off.

"Oh come on! You just prefer her to me." I complained, but I accepted the hand Mom was holding out to help me stand up.

"Of course they are, they're adorable and they don't do stupid things like you," Mom said dryly. I groaned loudly.

"If you bring up this conversation in 10 years to keep calling me an idiot, I'll be very upset." I complained to Mom, and she just snorted.

"Don't worry, son, I know you'll do other stupid things in that time," Mom said condescendingly as she slapped my cheek.

" Moooom ! You're being mean to me, I'm disabled." I whined slightly, Mom snorted before smiling slightly.

"No," Mom said before pushing me back onto the cot. I protested loudly, but a smile grew on my face. I lay back down on the cot as Mom leaned closer and kissed my forehead. "Rest," she instructed.

"I'll try." I said with a smile on my face. Mom nodded before coughing and looking at the adults.

"Sorry for that display," Mom said as she bowed slightly.

"There's no problem at all, nothing to be ashamed of," Nezu said immediately with a smile. I could see All Might give a thumbs-up with a huge grin. Even Aizawa was smiling slightly.

I sighed and looked away, only to find myself face to face with the tearful expressions of Taylor, Darkness, and Ruby, the latter being the loudest. Azula was just smiling gently.

"Fine," Mom said, letting out a sigh before ruffling her hair and facing someone else in the room. "Father," Mom said, facing Grandpa, who grimaced. The word sounded as wrong coming from him as ever, as if he wasn't used to saying it. And he wasn't.

Her mother spent the first years of her life oppressed by her own mother, a harpy, until she was abandoned to her fate as soon as she was old enough. She then fending for herself completely for most of her adulthood.

Ryuma only reappeared eight years ago when he retired, after he and All Might first defeated All For One. For some reason, he decided to track down any of his descendants, and I was the only one who caught his attention enough for him to come forward and claim me as his grandson.

Mom was completely shocked; after all, it's not every day someone finds out they're the daughter of a National Ranker. But she'd made several things very clear during that first meeting. She didn't want Ryuma acting like a father.

Mom had gotten up and forged a life for herself; she had raised me alone and more, so I didn't need a father figure at her age. The only reason I accepted Ryuma was because he was the only one who could help me with my desire to become a Hero and my swordsmanship.

And because he was worried that I didn't have a male figure in my life. So yes, Ryuma was my grandfather and I spent a lot of time with him, but he and my mother barely had a relationship.

It was already too much that they publicly acknowledged they were in a relationship.

"Daughter," Grandpa said simply. Everyone else in the room still seemed slightly tense and a little shocked. It was one thing to hear it on national television. It was quite another to hear Ryuma refer to someone as his daughter.

"You let him fight that monster," Mom said coldly. Grandpa snorted and pointed at me with his thumb.

"Do you really think I have any control over that idiot?" Grandpa snorted dryly. Mom opened her mouth before closing it.

"You're right," Mom said curtly.

"Wow, I really feel the love you have for me," I said dryly.

""Shut up."" They both huffed and stared at me, I rolled my eyes.

"As cheerful as all this has been... we really need to talk about some things with Young Miyamura," Nezu said, giving Mom an apologetic smile. She simply nodded, glancing one last time at Grandpa before turning away.

"Very well, I'll go take a shower and get some sleep," Mom said easily.

"Wait, aren't you going to stay?" I asked, confused. I doubted Nezu would kick her out, but Mom shook her head.

"I accept that you're a hero, Izumi, but you know I couldn't care less about that, or even about villains or any organization. All I need to know is that you'll always come home. And you can be an idiot, but I know you'll keep that promise." Mom said without a hint of doubt as she looked at me intently. I smiled foolishly and nodded.

"I'll do it, don't worry," I said cheerfully. Mom nodded.

"Very well, thank you for looking after my idiot son, we'll talk in a few hours," said Mom, saying goodbye to the adults, who nodded immediately.

"I'll be going too. Miyamura is completely healthy. I'll tell Lunch-Rush to prepare breakfast; he needs to regain his energy, but there shouldn't be any problems. Just let him rest once he's finished," Recovery Girl said, looking at all the adults.

"Understood. I wish we wouldn't be long, but I'm sure we have a lot to discuss," Nezu said wearily. Recovery Girl sighed as she nodded and left the room.

"I like your mother," Aizawa said with a mocking smile as the door closed. I rolled my eyes.

"Yes, yes, let's continue." I grumbled in annoyance. Aizawa sneered.

"Alright, Miyamura, start talking." Aizawa said directly while looking at me intensely.

"About what?" I asked immediately.

"Everything, from the moment you were kidnapped, what happened, who you saw, what information you obtained, what visions you saw, don't leave anything out." Aizawa said without hesitation. I hummed lightly as I organized my thoughts and nodded.

"I think...it would be best if you sought out Izuku and Todoroki for this conversation. In fact, I'm sure Shigaraki should be involved as well." I said without hesitation. All Might frowned.

"I understand my son and Tenko, after all... they'll both be a focus for AFO, but young Todoroki?" All Might asked, confused. I grimaced.

"I suppose they didn't find anything about the villain who calls herself Dabi, did they? " I asked directly.

"No, we found no prior records or documents, the name is fake and her face is too disfigured to perform a facial scan; it yields no results," Nezu said immediately.

" And you wouldn't, because to the world, she's dead. She's Endeavor's eldest daughter, Todoroki's sister." I said without hesitation. That made everyone freeze rigidly, while more than one paled. I could hear curses coming from Grandpa.

"She... she is-" All Might tried to say in surprise, I just nodded.

"Endeavor... she's obsessed with surpassing All Might, no one doubts that," I said, looking around the room, and everyone shook their heads. "Since she couldn't, she left that task to her children. Dabi... she came out with a powerful fire quirk, equal to or stronger than Endeavor's, the problem is... Endeavor's quirk combined very poorly with Dabi's father's quirk."

"She lost her resistance to high temperatures and gained resistance to freezing temperatures, so her body can't withstand her flames and ends up being burned by her own quirk." I said solemnly. I could see the horror on their faces; they had seen Dabi's body completely burned and covered in scars.

But seeing the scars was one thing, and knowing they were self-inflicted was another.

"Endeavor considered her a failure and practically ignored her when they discovered her. Even so… Dabi pushed herself to the limit, forcing herself to continue; she desperately craved Endeavor's attention and recognition."

"But Endeavor ignored it, her... obsession with surpassing All Might continued to grow and finally Shouko was born, a perfect combination of both quirks that caused Dabi's position to be snatched away."

"There are... many things that happened in the following years. Dabi continued to secretly train her fire to make her mother proud, but Endeavor rejected her when she discovered it, and eventually Dabi suffered a breakdown and her flames consumed her, causing a massive forest fire. All For One rescued her, but Dabi was in a coma for 3 years."

"When she finally woke up and tried to go back home... only to find that nothing had changed, that Endeavor was still focused on her younger sister, and no one seemed 'affected' by her death, so... she had another mental breakdown."

They all remained silent as my words sank deep within them.

"Aizawa, find Midoriya and Todoroki. All Might, bring Shigaraki and Detective Naomasa," Nezu said immediately after coming out of his stupor.

"Ah, Aizawa, I'm sure young Bakugou will want to come. Let her come, just like young Miyamura's fiancées. My son doesn't hide anything from her; she already knows most about me, so sooner or later she'll find out the rest. It's best to keep her out of the way." All Might said quickly. Aizawa nodded while sighing.

"This is getting really problematic," Aizawa growled. "Shouldn't we warn Endeavor?" Aizawa asked, though he said her name almost spitting out his fury.

""""no"""" to my surprise, I wasn't the only one who denied it, Nezu, All Might and Grandpa immediately denied it, Nezu just looked at me and raised an eyebrow, apparently he wanted my opinion on this, I snorted.

"Right now? Endeavor is still just as unstable, furious, and angry at the world. I... I can see her improving and becoming a better hero, but right now? She'll do something stupid, something really stupid, so hiding this from her will be best for everyone." I said with a grimace. Nezu nodded.

"Exactly, Enji... sadly, she's strayed far from what she was years ago. Her obsession with All Might quickly overwhelmed her, but still... she hates villains, she's good at her job, but if she knows that her eldest son, a son who should be dead, has become a villain, I really don't want to think about what she'll do." Nezu said, shaking his head.

We all remained silent until Aizawa nodded.

"Alright, I'll trust your decision," Aizawa said before leaving the room. All Might moved quickly to find Shigaraki.

"I thought I'd used up all the embers," I said, glancing at the door All Might had just left through. Nezu sighed and nodded ruefully.

"Yes, he can no longer use One For All, but thanks to the continuous healing he received over the past few years, and from you during the fight, his body is in perfect condition. His Aura keeps him completely healthy, so his body is still as strong as it appears without using OFA," Nezu said directly, and I just nodded.

"Excuse me... but what is One For All?" Azula asked with a frown. The other girls also seemed confused. Nezu raised an eyebrow in my direction. I just rolled my eyes. Yes, I wasn't hiding much from her, but I still wasn't going to go around telling her every national secret I came across.

Apparently, Nezu was able to understand all my thoughts and only chuckled slightly before looking at the girls.

"Let's wait until the others arrive to answer those questions," Nezu said simply. "Everything discussed here is classified; nothing leaves these walls. The only reason you know is because you're involved with young Miyamura, and you might also be targets of the villains," Nezu said seriously.

The girls straightened up.

"Understood, Director." They said in unison, Nezu nodded.

"Speaking of objectives... were you able to find Garaki?" I asked seriously, Nezu sighed wearily.

"Unfortunately, no." Nezu sighed, and I shuddered slightly. "The hospital was a front, just as you mentioned, and Garaki's lab was where you indicated, but Garaki and his research were already gone."

"He couldn't take everything, so we found some things, enough to know that he's been secretly collecting quirk samples from patients for years, and has been using those samples to create the Nomu."

"But what about more than that? We have nothing. The police are continuing their investigation at Jaku Hospital, but if they used their teleportation quirk, then it will be impossible to know where they went." Nezu sighed wearily.

"Shit." I groaned in frustration. There went the easy solution.

"Didn't you see anything else?" the grandfather asked seriously, I shook my head.

"About his whereabouts? No, I haven't the slightest idea. I have... some idea of his objectives, but I really don't have anything important." I sighed wearily. Nezu nodded.

"Any information will be useful." Nezu said seriously, and I nodded.

"Well, we'd better wait for the others. This... is a long conversation. There's a lot to unpack," I said wearily. And everyone nodded. "Meanwhile, how badly did Kamino fare? Are the rescue operations still ongoing? "

I listened to Nezu talking about Kamino while mentally going over everything. Well, it's time for a long, drawn-out lecture.
