"Calm down," he said quietly. "I am not going to hurt you."
He closed his eyes and focused inward.
For a few long seconds nothing happened. The room was perfectly still except for the soft sound of Olivia's breathing.
Then his hands began to glow.
A bright, vivid blue light bloomed from his palms — soft at first, then growing stronger and more intense with each passing second. The mana was pure, controlled, and alive with power far beyond anything a normal Arch Mage should be able to channel so effortlessly. The light flowed like a liquid, sliding from his fingers and sinking directly into Olivia's shoulders.
The change in her was immediate.
Olivia's eyes widened dramatically. For a brief moment she froze completely, as if her body had forgotten how to move. Then her posture locked into place, every muscle tensing as the blue light continued to spread through her.
