William went back to his breakfast like nothing had happened. The other students did the same. A few still glanced at him now and then, but no one dared to approach him again.
"Why do they hate me so much? Is it because I hurt their feelings?" thought William.
He remembered telling the class he was sure he could beat all the teachers in a fight. Did that make them see him differently?
If that was the reason, then their pride was too much. William hadn't meant to be arrogant. He was just being honest and confident in his skills.
After breakfast, William stood up and picked up the paper the principal had given him.
Next class is in 30 minutes...
The paper listed all his classes for the day and the coming weeks, as long as nothing changed soon.
