When initiating a Z-Move, it appeared incredibly flashy due to the influence of Z-Power. Even ordinary collision moves would be enveloped with radiant light before being unleashed.
Mark's Hitmonlee, after executing the Breakneck Blitz, glowed intensely with white Z-energy and charged directly towards the opponent's Pokemon at remarkable speed.
Lian observed the battle closely; despite its impressive name, the Breakneck Blitz, based on Tackle, had relatively low power at only 100.
While seemingly high, unless a Z-Move has a power above 150, it doesn't significantly differ from regular moves. The true strength of Z-Moves lies in their far superior power compared to any other move, along with the guaranteed hit effect.
Using Tackle as the base move is considered quite basic, but in this case, it didn't hinder much. Instead, failing to defeat the opponent allowed their Pokemon an opportunity to use their own Z-Move.
After several rounds of combat, both Mark and his opponent successfully executed Z-Moves, leaving them exhilarated, feeling they had cracked the secret behind unleashing these powerful techniques.
"Kalia, thank you! But how did you know about this?" Mark was merely acquainted with Kalia before, but now he found her intriguing. Knowledge of Z-Moves wasn't easily accessible; many Trainers hadn't even heard of them.
Kalia smiled and replied, "I spent some time at the research institute in Rhine City, where the Pokemon Professor was studying Z-Moves. That's how I happened to learn about it."
"Oh, I see." Mark's eyes brightened as he looked at Kalia and whispered, "Do you know anything else? Please tell me."
"You already know how to unleash a Z-Move, so practice is all that remains. However, I suggest buying Fighting-type Z-crystals instead. Although Normal-type works well, they aren't ideal for your Pokemon. You could sell those to Trainers who specialize in Normal-type Pokemon," Kalia advised.
In reality, her knowledge on the subject was limited, and there wasn't much more she could add. She too needed further learning.
"I understand that; I'll have to visit other cities to find Fighting-type Z-Crystals," Mark nodded.
After chatting for a while, Mark excitedly left, planning to explore other cities for Fighting-type Z-Crystals. For him, the cost of Z-Crystals wasn't prohibitive; his family owned a chain of successful stores, making them quite wealthy.
Kalia also stepped onto the battlefield, beginning her daily routine of combat training.
With the introduction of Z-Moves, the Sebas region became bustling with activity, filled with news and discussions about these powerful techniques. While there were always affluent individuals in this world, such wealth rarely drew attention under normal circumstances.
Time flew by, marking another half-month's passage.
As November arrived, the weather grew cooler, temperatures steadily dropping, and leaves began to fall from trees.
Over these two weeks, the Sebas region received another batch of Z-Rings and Z-crystals from the Ellie region, triggering yet another wave of purchasing frenzy. This time, many well-off Trainers who missed out initially seized the opportunity without hesitation.
Apart from Trainers with insufficient funds, most others acquired Z-Rings and began practicing their Z-Moves extensively. Some savvy Trainers seized this opportunity to organize Z-Move training workshops, earning substantial profits.
Over the course of half a month, through repeated practice and experimentation, numerous techniques for utilizing Z-Moves were discovered by Trainers.
Additionally, certain cities started hosting competitions exclusively open to those possessing Z-Rings.
During these two weeks, Kalia immersed herself in studying books, diligently preparing for the mid-level Trainer evaluation. Although aware of the outside world's developments, she chose not to engage, prioritizing her exam preparation above all else.
Meanwhile, Lian spent each day flying around with Kalia, completing various tasks or visiting different locations to study which types of Pokemon inhabit specific terrains—all relevant to the upcoming examination.
The mid-level evaluation covered multiple aspects: Pokemon cultivation, history, habitats, assessments of their abilities, and more, encompassing a vast range of knowledge.
The overall evaluation consisted of three rounds: first, a written test; second, skills assessment; and third, a Pokemon combat examination. The written test was considered the most challenging as it evaluated a Trainer's knowledge across various aspects of Pokemon. For the other assessments, most participants could pass if their Pokemon met the required skill level.
Many Trainers struggled with the first round, the written exam. While they knew how to train their Pokemon effectively and achieve strong abilities, some lacked enthusiasm for academic learning, often resulting in failure to advance past this stage.
After half a month of intensive study, Kalia found her progress smoother than expected. She had acquired a vast amount of knowledge and felt confident about passing the written test.
"After working hard for a month, it's time for a break," Kalia thought. Studying every day, memorizing information, and visiting different cities were exhausting tasks. She planned to take some well-deserved rest, review the knowledge she had gained during this period, and then prepare herself fully for the upcoming evaluations.

Late at night,
Lian entered the system space. Over the past half month, he felt immense progress and had accumulated a substantial amount of Combat Points, easily surpassing 100,000.
Checking his current balance, Lian noted a total of 107,550 Combat Points - the highest accumulation in his history with the system. Initially, he planned to wait until reaching 130,000 points to potentially upgrade the system, but his impatience got the better of him.
He decided to save for future opportunities; there would be plenty of chances down the line.
Lian's level also increased to 43. Although only one level up over half a month, he was close to Level 44, likely just a few days away. As levels progressed higher, it became increasingly difficult to advance, which was inevitable.
His ability values were now exceptionally high, with Special Attack breaking through 1,900 and rapidly approaching the 2,000 mark.
Ability Values: Stamina 1949, Attack 1177, Defense 1383, Special Attack 1908, Special Defense 1443, Speed 1744.
It's evident that Lian's highest ability values are Stamina and Special Attack, with his Stamina value nearing two thousand.
Following this pattern, even without further enhancements, by level 100, his Special Attack ability value could potentially reach over four thousand.
Lian can hardly fathom how powerful he would be with a Special Attack ability value of over four thousand. However, reaching level 100 seems distant; currently, he gains at most two levels per month, and as leveling up becomes progressively harder, it might take around twenty levels or more each year.
The immense strength of legendary Pokemon likely stems not only from their innate power but also their longevity. Living for extended periods allows them to achieve higher levels, naturally enhancing their capabilities.
