Lian successfully used his self-created move, Air Cannon, to block Kyogre's Ice Beam. Despite Kyogre having exceptionally high Special Attack capabilities, Lian's Air Cannon, as a custom move, possessed power no less potent than Flame Spiral, possibly even stronger.
Moreover, since Air Cannon was aligned with Lian's primary typing, it received a damage bonus. Facing Kyogre's non-primary type Ice Beam allowed him to effectively resist it.
In reality, during their collision, the Air Cannon was completely dissipated, while the Ice Beam shattered into numerous fragments of Ice energy. Although some potency remained, its effectiveness diminished due to dispersion.
Additionally, Charizard's earlier Dragon Pulse had slightly weakened the Ice Beam, albeit by a small margin, but still impactful.
With the danger averted, Lian glanced at the somewhat stunned Charizard hovering nearby. Clearly, it did not anticipate the Ice Beam being blocked at such a critical moment.
He flew towards Charizard, determined to clarify the situation now that they were face-to-face. Based on the sensation he experienced earlier, there must be a blood relation between them.
"You..." The Charizard looked up at Lian approaching, slightly puzzled and spoke using the language of Charizards.
Pokemon languages have various dialects, with each species having their own unique communication method. Most Pokemon inherently possess a common language along with their specific Racial Language.
The common language facilitates communication between different species of Pokemon; it's what Lian typically uses, allowing him to be understood by others for effective interaction.
Racial Language, on the other hand, is exclusive to families within a particular Pokemon species. Since his arrival in this world, Lian has mastered both these languages, and currently, the Charizard was speaking in the Racial Language.
Lian responded, "I believe you felt it too - there might be some connection between us. I sensed the danger in your thoughts, which led me here."
Charmy, the Charizard, gazed at Lian with shock and disbelief. The astonishment stemmed from Lian's immense power. It must be noted that they had just faced Kyogre's Ice Beam, which shattered Charmy's Dragon Pulse like glass.
The move Lian unleashed, though unidentified, managed to effectively block Kyogre's Ice Beam. Although not completely halted, the remaining fragmented energy posed little threat.
Charmy seemed incredulous; according to Lian, they might share a blood relation, possibly as brothers. However, in its memory, it only had one younger brother who was significantly smaller than itself.
Looking at Lian, with his massive size, towering over Charmy by several times, and considering his impressive display just now, could this really be his damn little brother?
It took more than a year of rigorous training under an Ellie region Trainer for Charmy to reach its current level, becoming an exceptional Charizard.
Yet, it vividly recalled how over a year ago, their nest was attacked, leading to the capture of its younger sibling, who then went missing.
At that time, its brother was still a frail and helpless Charmander, while Charmy had already evolved into a Charmeleon. He often encouraged his brother to strive harder in battles.
Now, after more than a year, a colossal Charizard suddenly appears claiming, "We share a blood bond, and I might be your brother."
Charmy also sensed a strong connection with Lian, indicating that they truly might be brothers.
"My little brother went missing over a year ago in the Sebas region. Are you really my brother?" Charmy cautiously asked, needing confirmation.
Lian pondered for a moment and calculated the time. Indeed, it was more than a year ago when he inexplicably transmigrated into the body of a Charmander. Although he didn't inherit memories, everything else carried over from his previous life.
Now, Lian confirmed that this Charizard must be his older brother, and not just any brother, but a blood sibling.
"That's right, I was captured from the Ellie region to the Sebas region about a year ago. However, many of my memories are gone; I can barely recall anything from before," Lian explained.
Pokemon have simple minds, and Charmy immediately displayed a look of joy. Initially, it had given up hope of ever finding its younger brother due to the vast distance and being captured by a Trainer.
Yet unexpectedly, they finally reunited.

Woo-woo!
At that moment, Kyogre's fury intensified, emitting a deafening roar. Its Ice Beam had been blocked, and to its surprise, the ant-like Charizard not only remained unharmed but was now joined by another fiery red lizard.
Determined to eliminate both these formidable adversaries, Kyogre immediately focused its gaze on Lian and Charmy.
"Let's save the talk for later; we need to run first," said Lian.
He dared not engage Kyogre head-on, as although his Air Cannon was incredibly powerful, the energy consumption from using it once was terrifyingly high. Rapidly firing a second shot was virtually impossible. Moreover, amidst the torrential rain, Lian's Flame Spiral would be unable to defend against Kyogre's moves effectively.
Their best option at this moment was to make a swift escape.
"I must rescue my Trainer first," Charmy declared, swiftly darting towards the sea.
Lian glanced at the struggling Trainer clinging to Raichu's tail, then flew over, quickly overtaking Charmy and reaching the water surface.
In the next instant, Lian grabbed the Trainer, turned, and commanded, "Let's go straight to that island."
With those words, Lian rapidly soared towards the distant island, carrying the mid-level Trainer securely in his claws.
Charmy hesitated briefly before swiftly following Lian, feeling utterly astonished again. He wondered what extraordinary experiences his little brother had encountered during the past year, resulting in such immense strength and speed far surpassing even his own.
Charmy couldn't help but think that his brother must have undergone hellish training over these past year and a half to attain such immense strength.
As Charmy pondered, Kyogre began preparing its next move, targeting Lian. It was this large lizard's attack that had blocked its Ice Beam earlier.
In the following moment, Kyogre unleashed another Ice Beam—a beam resembling a pillar of ice—directed straight at Lian.
"Uh-oh!"
The mid-level Trainer gripped by Lian panicked, realizing they could not evade the swiftly approaching Ice Beam.
Lian glanced back, feeling quite annoyed. Kyogre seemed to remember him specifically. All I did was block one of your Ice Beams; why not target other Pokemon instead?
Firmly holding onto the mid-level Trainer, Lian burst forth with incredible speed. To avoid Kyogre's Ice Beam, conventional methods were futile; Kyogre's mastery over Ice Beam was too strong. Whether Lian tried to accelerate or decelerate, evasion seemed impossible.
Bang!
With an explosive sound, Lian surged forward hundreds of meters, escaping the range of the Ice Beam and successfully dodging Kyogre's attack.
From such distance, Kyogre could not alter the direction of its Ice Beam to hit Lian.
Even if it managed to change course, the impact force of the Ice Beam would significantly weaken, reducing the threat to Lian considerably.
