The Earth Immortal Realm is nominally established by The Three Pure Ones, but ancient deities like Houtu, Fu Xi, and Wa Huang also participated, slaying the Great Demons and suppressing Demon Bones.
Because the Great Demons cannot truly be killed, they refined the Eight Trigrams Demon Suppression Well, throwing those Great Demon Skeletons into the well, pressing down the bones with the weight of the Xuanhuang Sea, and each contributing their own Magical Treasures into the well.
Still uneasy, they invited Daoist Taiqing from The Three Pure Ones, who refined a scroll of the Infinite Diagram to suppress within the well.
Later, whenever there was demon turmoil in the Earth Immortal Realm, or a Great Demon was born, or an Abnormal Point of the Great Dao appeared, once a Great Demon was captured, it would always be sent here to be suppressed in the Eight Trigrams Demon Suppression Well.
