In front of him was a very wide and round table, at least fifty metres wide.
He was in his humanoid form here, a welcome display of vulnerability. This was not about trust, but about relevance.
Kael was made aware that even if he was in his full Eldritch Lion form, he wouldn't be able to defend himself against the top leaders.
He knew this because these leaders were also sitting at the round table with him.
There were five lions here, each of them in their humanoid forms and each of them were the leaders of the greatest lion clans in Original Heaven.
They were also the strongest lions.
Sitting on the same leather chair to Kael's left was a sickly pale man wearing a tattered suit and looking directly at Kael with his creepy red eyes.
He didn't blink, he didn't breathe, he didn't flinch. Just stared, observing Kael as much as he could.
