Chapter 692: Battle with the Third King Hall

"Heavenly King Hall, it truly has been a long time."

Ying Huanhuan's ice-blue eyes rested on the dark figure ahead as she spoke coolly.

"Yes. After all these years, Ice Master is still as peerlessly stunning as ever. But after fighting for so long, why don't we just call it quits and make peace?" The Heavenly King Hall smiled as he looked at her.

"Make peace?" The Flame Master folded his arms, voice indifferent. "This time, none of you Yimo are leaving whole. Your only end is to be completely purified."

"Kekeke, you people are always so rude. So many years, and you still haven't changed," the Second King Hall said with a cold grin at the Flame Master's side.

Ying Huanhuan's expression did not flicker. Her gaze remained fixed on the Heavenly King Hall as she said slowly, "This time, we end this war that has dragged on for a thousand years. There will be no third chance for you."

"Hehe, you shouldn't speak so absolutely."

The Heavenly King Hall shook his head and waved his hand behind him. "Show yourselves, Demonic Prison. No need to let them underestimate us."

Boom!

The desert shook violently.

Cracks ripped open the sands, and viscous demonic qi oozed out like liquid.

Endless Yimo troops clawed their way up from beneath, filling the far side of the Western Xuan Grand Desert in moments.

Their numbers were no less than those of the allied armies.

Thud!

The ground trembled again as a colossal figure slowly rose within the city.

Eight massive demonic arms stretched wide, as though tearing the sky apart.

It was the Grand Evil Heavenly Demon King.

"So everyone's here," the Master of Life and Death said, her gaze locking onto the demon king, her expression turning solemn.

"The Heavenly King Hall and the other Demonic Prison kings are ours. The rest of the Demonic Prison forces and their army are yours to deal with."

Ying Huanhuan turned to Tang Xinlian, Ling Qingzhu, Little Marten, Zhou Tong, Qingtan, Jinwu, and the others.

"Got it!"

Faces grim, they nodded.

"Armies, hear me! This is our final battle!"

"If we win, the threat is ended forever. If we lose, the Western Xuan Region's tragedy will repeat everywhere!"

Tang Xinlian's white-knuckled hand gripped her sword before she swept it down.

"If you want to protect your families and friends—then fight!"

"Fight!"

A sea of red eyes answered her with a roar.

Boom!

The allied armies surged forward.

Waves of Yuan Power swept out like a rising tide as their formations locked into place, hurling themselves at the Demonic Prison's host.

"Kekeke, Demonic Prison, heed my command! To fulfill the Emperor's will, kill them all!"

The Heavenly King Hall watched impassively as the armies collided. The Second King Hall laughed, his voice dripping with murder.

"Kill!"

The shrill howl of the Yimo answered them.

Demonic qi blotted out the sky as countless dark shapes crashed into the advancing allied host.

Bang!

Two endless torrents slammed into each other, and the Western Xuan Grand Desert shuddered.

Yuan Power and demonic qi frothed and tore at each other.

In moments, blood stained the sands.

The stench of gore and the shrieks of battle rolled together over the desert, driving even birds from the skies for thousands of miles.

"Move!"

Ying Huanhuan's cold shout cut through the din as she flashed forward.

The Heavenly King Hall and his comrades vanished in the same instant.

When they reappeared, they stood directly before her and the other Ancient Masters.

The Heavenly King Hall's gaze lingered on Ying Huanhuan. "In your current state, Ice Master, you are no match for me."

She fell briefly silent, then glanced toward the Chaotic Demon Sea, a complex look stirring in her eyes before she sighed softly.

Intricate ice patterns bloomed across her snow-white skin, and the cold streaming from her body grew even more terrifying.

Lin Langtian's eyes narrowed.

Her ice-blue hair and eyes were slowly turning crystalline.

A chilling force was waking inside her, one that made even space itself seem brittle.

"Lin Dong… I'm sorry," she whispered, guilt written across her lovely face.

She slipped off her white gloves, revealing crystal-clear arms laced with glowing ice patterns.

"So she's fully awakening the Ice Master's power," Lin Langtian thought, lips tightening. "To face the Heavenly King Hall, she has to go all out."

If Lin Dong were here to see this, it would break his heart. Ying Huanhuan was the one person he had always sworn to protect.

But with the second War of Heaven and Earth fully unleashed, no one could move freely. Not even she.

And Lin Langtian knew that only the Ice Master could suppress the Heavenly King Hall completely. Not even he had full confidence in that fight.

"This war ends here," the Ice Master said, her voice pure and empty. "From now on, there will be no more Yimo on this continent."

Her crystalline hair floated around her like a frozen halo, her ice-blue eyes fixed on the Heavenly King Hall.

Cold, sacred, and untouchable.

She was no longer just Ying Huanhuan.

She was the Ice Master.

The Heavenly King Hall stepped forward.

The warmth on his face evaporated, leaving only a vicious, shadowed glint.

An indescribable tide of demonic qi burst from him, so oppressive that even the Ice Master's frigid aura was forced back.

The heavens quaked under its weight.

The Ancient Masters tensed.

This was the Yimo Emperor's greatest general.

Frost spread in a torrent as the Ice Master's hand closed around the shaft of a long ice spear.

Her killing intent flashed in her crystal eyes.

She vanished, and the sky erupted in snow and ice, a spear strike so cold it seemed to freeze both time and space streaking toward the Heavenly King Hall.

"Hahaha, Ice Master, I'll show you how pointless your struggle really is!" he laughed, lunging to meet her.

The air shattered under the impact of their clash.

"Let's move as well."

The Master of Life and Death watched the two collide, her own eyes going hard. She darted forward toward the Second King Hall.

"This one is mine," her voice rang out.

"And that big one is mine."

The Desolate Lord's gaze locked onto the Grand Evil Heavenly Demon King. Purple-gold light flared over his body as it swelled into a ten-thousand-meter giant.

He stamped down, each step a thunderclap, and charged the demon king.

"Kekeke, if you're all taking opponents, I suppose this hall must choose too," the Third King Hall said, his eyes settling on Lin Langtian. "You must be Lin Langtian. I'm very curious about you."

Lin Langtian's brow ticked up. He stepped into the air, and divine light burst from his brow.

A Divine Palace showed faintly in the radiance.

"Oh? The Divine Palace Realm?"

Surprise flashed across the Third King Hall's face. He had not expected his target to have already taken that step.

"I'll handle this one," Lin Langtian said.

He had wanted the Second King Hall, but with the Master of Life and Death stepping in first, the Third King Hall would do just fine as a testing stone.

A beam of wondrous light shot from his brow, streaking toward the Third King Hall.

The Flame Master and the others nodded slightly. At this point, even they could not clearly gauge Lin Langtian's strength. Matching him against the Third King Hall was more than appropriate.

The Third King Hall focused on him as the evil eye on his palm snapped open, spitting a beam of demonic light into the oncoming radiance.

The two lights crashed and vanished.

Lin Langtian appeared before him in the next instant.

Around them, the other Ancient Masters engaged the remaining Demonic Prison elites.

Sky and ground fractured into countless separate battlefields.

The shockwaves spilled out across the entire Western Xuan Region and were felt even in the other three.

Tension mounted everywhere.

"You really are something," the Third King Hall said with a thin smile. "Just a year, and you've managed to form a Divine Palace."

Lin Langtian said nothing.

His right arm darkened as black demon lightning crackled across it.

Demon Lightning Arm.

He flickered, reappearing above the Third King Hall, and slammed his lightning-wreathed fist down at the latter's skull.

Boom!

The Third King Hall's expression darkened at the sight of the strange lightning. Demonic qi swelled over him, coalescing into a jagged Demon Emperor Armor.

He met the blow with a fist of his own.

Their clash shattered the sky around them like glass.

The Demon Emperor Armor bristled with black spikes that shot outward as the Third King Hall spun like a storm, sawing straight toward Lin Langtian.

Lin Langtian did not retreat.

Three Ancestral Symbols blazed across his body as demonic qi roared out to meet them, fusing together in an instant.

A black, silver, and thunder-blue armor of runes wrapped him from head to toe.

The Ancestral Demon Battle Armor.

Boom!

The armor made him look like a war god born of both symbol and shadow.

His fists crashed forward, and swallowing vortices, demon lightning, and spatial fissures exploded around his knuckles, smashing into the spinning storm of spikes.

Clang, clang, clang!

Each collision sent showers of sparks flying as the air Warped.

They traded blows like maddened bulls, each punch strong enough to obliterate a peak Reincarnation expert.

Only the sheer toughness of their armors let them shrug off the impacts.

Whoosh!

Two streaks of light crossed high above, ripping the clouds apart.

They were ten thousand meters up now. Below, the two armies were still locked in bloody struggle.

Killing intent and the stink of blood rose to meet them.

Wrapped in his Ancestral Demon Battle Armor, Lin Langtian was a machine of war, hurling himself at the Third King Hall's Demon Emperor Armor without pause.

Every punch he threw drew on all three Ancestral Symbols and the Yimo power within him.

The fury of each strike forced even the Third King Hall to take him seriously.

Thud!

They met once more in a head-on clash and were both knocked back thousands of meters.

Their feet slammed into the air, and they shot forward again.

Lin Langtian's kunpeng wings and dragon horns flared to life, pushing his physical might to the limit.

Even so, there was no clear advantage either way. The Third King Hall was a monster in his own right, his sea of demonic qi rising to meet every incoming blow.

And all across the sky, other duels had already burned into a white-hot blaze.

They had fought each other for ages. There was no need for feints or tests.

They all went straight for the kill.

The sky tore. The earth broke.

This battle looked as if it might just destroy the entire world.
