They know that, in truth, all of this is for their own demise. Not everything is because of the decisions they made, yet they do not know for whom these decisions were made.
When one day they ultimately find they have nothing, if they finally realize they have nothing, that is all they can demand. But they don't know what having nothing means, they don't know what they are truly fighting for. They don't know why they are wrong, why they act, or even why they are right.
Perhaps! They don't crave right or wrong, perhaps they never owned any of this, but what does it matter? The more they do, the more mistakes they make. The more they gain, the more they have to sacrifice. What can they actually do about it? The truth is, none of them knows, and since they don't know, then perhaps it's better not to know.
