Minutes later, in the Hokage's office;
"Are you sure about this course of action, Hiruzen? Telling clients to go elsewhere to have their missions done doesn't feel good." Koharu said, with Homura nodding in agreement.
"Yes, Hiruzen. We shouldn't restrict our client base because of Suna throwing a temper tantrum." Homura said with an irritated huff.
"I agree with Hokage-sama on this one. What we get from the capital of the land of wind is so minute to hold onto. Suna has already ruined their reputation by having their capital turn to us for completing missions." Shikaku said.
"True, and if the information we got from our spies and Naruto is true, it wouldn't be long before the capital of the wind returns to send their missions to us. Suna's governing body leaves a lot to be desired." Inoichi said
These four sat with Hiruzen in his office to discuss the latest updates about the situation with Suna.
"It is already done, Koharu, Homura. I already sent a message to the fire Daimyo requesting him to have talks with his counterpart in the Land of Wi…." Hiruzen was interrupted when an Anbu operative appeared in the office, kneeling.
"I am very sorry for the interruption, Hokage-sama, but there is a situation in the hospital that you need to know about." The Anbu operative said
"What is this? How dare you interrupt us like that?" Koharu said angrily as she stood up.
"Koharu, calm down and sit," Hiruzen said, making Koharu huff before sitting back down.
"What is it, Mouse?" Hiruzen asked as he looked at the kneeling female Anbu. Hiruen permits his Anbu to enter on him at any time without asking permission if they carry important news or anything that needs to be dealt with in a timely manner.
"Jonin Uzumaki was seen being pushed into an operating room while sustaining severe injuries," Mouse said, which sent a wave of shock through the office.
"What? Are you sure?" Hiruzen said with disbelief and shock as he stood up, sending his chair rolling backward and slamming to the wall behind him, and rattling the windows.
"Sir, we are positive it is him," Mouse replied.
A moment of silence filled the office before Hiruzen, along with Shikaku and Inoichi, disappeared in a body flicker.
Koharu and Homura looked at each other with shock and disbelief on their faces. Who would have done this?
......
Moments later, outside the Operating room;
Hiruzen, along with Shikaku and Inoichi, appeared just in front of the main operating room but refrained from entering as the red light, indicating an ongoing operation, was still on.
"Is Suna behind this?" Inoichi asked the unsaid question as Hiruzen's expression tightened.
Naruto was supposed to be in the land of wind, but he is now here, wounded, with his condition not fully known.
The sound of hurried footsteps appeared from behind them, making them look towards the source. It was a nurse in a surgical gown who was running towards them.
"Pardon me, Hokage-sama." The Nurse said, bowing for a second before rushing towards the OR.
"Nurse, can you inform us what is going on?" Hiruzen said with an even voice
The Nurse stopped at the OR door and turned to look at Hiruzen.
"Naruto-sama had sustained three piercing injuries, Hokage-sama. Two in his legs and one through and through in his abdomen that pierced through his liver and one of his Kidneys." The nurse said, making the three men's faces gloomy.
"Where were you at right now?" Inoichi asked, seeing that the nurse knew what was happening but was outside.
"Labs were ordered, so I was delivering samples to the lab." The nurse replied
"Who is leading the surgery?" Hiruzen asked
"Naruto-sama's clones are, with Shizune-sama assisting them." The nurse replied
"Clones? Shouldn't Naruto be under anesthesia?" Shikaku asked, as clones should dispel when their user is unconscious. One shouldn't be awake with this kind of injury.
"Naruto-sama is under partial anesthesia, as his clones said that they need to remove foreign chakra that is preventing his healing process." The nurse said
"Where is Tsunade in all of this?" Hiruzen asked
"Tsunade-sama wasn't in the hospital when Naruto-sama arrived. And his clones forbade us from informing her." The nurse said, making the three men go silent
"If you excuse me, Hokage-sama. I might still be needed inside." The nurse said, to which Hiruzen nodded.
The nurse bowed and then turned and entered the OR.
"Shikaku," Hiruzen called, making the Jonin Commander look at the Hokage.
"Have three regiments move towards the border of the land of rivers as soon as possible, and have the rest of the available Shinobi ready for mobilization by sunrise tomorrow," Hiruzen said with a blank tone, slightly shocking the two men beside him.
"Are you sure, Hokage-sama?" Shikaku asked, causing Hiruzen to look at him.
"Go," Hiruzen said with a slightly furious undertone, to which Shikaku nodded before disappearing in a body flicker.
"How dare they?" Hiruzen furiously muttered to himself. Suna dared to harm his student. The messenger, who was helping them reach a peaceful resolution. Were they trying to kill Konoha's Jinchiiriki or hold him hostage? Is it really Suna, or is there a third party he didn't know about? While the rational part of his brain says that Suna wouldn't dare do this, all facts until now point to Suna as the culprit.
'I shouldn't have sent him alone.' Hiruzen thought as his expression turned grim.
Until there is more information about this, He will send Shinobi towards the border of the land of Rivers.
If it is really Suna's doing, they'd better have a good explanation or else.
Hiruzen's line of thought was interrupted by the feeling of the familiar and dreaded feeling of the Kyuubi's malevolent chakra coming from inside the operating room.
The feeling was sudden and unexpected, shocking Hiruzen and Inoichi for a moment before they dashed towards the OR's door.
But the feeling of the Kyuubi's chakra disappeared just as suddenly as its appearance, making both men stop half a step from rushing through the doors.
They glanced at each other for a moment before stepping away from the doors.
The Kyuubi seems to still be contained, so there is no need for them to contaminate the sterile field of the operating room. They just have to wait patiently for any news.
