After getting out of the garbage dump, they continue they way, finding near a sort of strange tiny village.
As the group emerged from the damp, debris-filled garbage dump, the atmosphere began to shift. The dim lighting of the underground gave way to a strange glow, and the faint sound of high-pitched chatter reached their ears. Before them lay a tiny village nestled within a grove of glowing mushrooms, with odd structures cobbled together from scraps and materials. The structures seemed almost nonsensical in design, teetering at odd angles yet somehow managing to stand.
Suddenly, small creatures began to appear from behind rocks, mushrooms, and piles of junk. They were strange, dog-like creatures with fluffy heads, big wide eyes, and permanently goofy smiles. Their stubby arms wiggled in the air as they hopped around excitedly.
Temmies: "hOI!! welcom 2... TEMMIE VILLAGE!!!"
The Group's Reactions
Velthara, stepping back slightly: "What... are they?"
Kaeltherion, narrowing his eyes: "They don't seem hostile. Just... odd."
Lymtherion, cautiously: "Odd? That's an understatement. What even is this place?"
A Temmie bounced closer, tilting its head at an unnatural angle as it wiggled.
Temmie: "hOI! i'm tEMMIE!! dis my fwend, tEMMIE!!"
Another Temmie popped up behind it, wiggling just as enthusiastically.
Another Temmie: "hOI!!! i'm ALSO tEMMIE!!! WELCOM!!!"
The Temmies began hopping in circles around the group, chattering incomprehensibly yet somehow managing to communicate a warm, if chaotic, welcome.
Elyssara, blinking: "They're... harmless, right? They seem too... um... 'friendly' to be a threat."
Zalthirion, smirking: "Friendly? They look like they'd invite you over for tea and then accidentally set the table on fire."
A Temmie suddenly hopped in front of Zalthirion, staring up at him with an intense, unblinking gaze.
Temmie: "u gots... COOL ARMOR!!!... tem LUV!!"
Zalthirion, stepping back: "Uh... thanks?"
Kaeltherion, still tense: "Let's not get too comfortable. They might look harmless, but we've been ambushed enough times to know better."
Suddenly, another Temmie popped up from behind a pile of junk, this one carrying a small sign.
Temmie: "BUY STUFF!!! or... sELL STUFF!!! tem SHOP over dere!!"
The Temmie gestured toward a rickety shack with a sign that read "tem SHOP!!!" in crudely drawn letters.
Velthara, tilting her head: "They have a shop? What could they possibly have to sell?"
The group cautiously approached the shack, the Temmies bouncing and wiggling around them as they went. Inside, they found a single Temmie sitting behind a makeshift counter, its head bobbing rhythmically.
Shopkeeper Temmie: "hOI!!! welcom to... da TEM SHOP!!!"
Inside the Shop
The shelves were lined with bizarre items—crumbled bits of food, random trinkets, and what appeared to be a bowl of glowing... something.
Elyssara, whispering: "Is... is any of this even useful?"
Velthara, inspecting a glowing object: "I doubt it. But maybe we could sell some of the junk we've picked up along the way."
The group traded some of the less valuable items they'd found in exchange for "temmie flakes," tiny pieces of food that didn't seem particularly edible.
Departure
As they prepared to leave, a Temmie ran up to them, holding a crudely drawn map.
Temmie: "tem help!!! dis map show how get out!!! but... tem WANTS... CUTE ITEM!!! give tem CUTE item, tem show EXIT!!!"
Kaeltherion, sighing: "Let's just give them something and get this over with."
After handing over a small trinket they'd found earlier, the Temmies cheered loudly and pointed them toward an exit.
Temmies: "GOODBYE, FWENDS!!! tem WISH U LUCK!!!"
As the group left the chaotic, wiggly village behind, they couldn't help but feel a strange mix of confusion and amusement.
Zalthirion, shaking his head: "That was... an experience."
Elyssara: "Let's just hope the rest of this place makes more sense."
With the map in hand, they continued onward, leaving the peculiar Temmies and their nonsensical village behind.
