'What happened to Sophia….' Worry and anxiety were the only emotions that were traveling through my veins.
The day of the banquet had finally arrived leaving on me completely edge. Yesterday Sophia had been enslaved and had her body defiled by that filthy bastard. I couldn't sleep even a minute all night with worry unable to leave my heart, How could I sleep knowing that a woman I loved was most likely being used in indescribable ways. I had no idea what Leon's plans were but what I did know was that something major was going to happen today.
'He said she'll be a proper slave before the banquet…' I grit my teeth while staring in the mirror where my exhausted face was looking back toward me.
'I don't want to go' I didn't want to see what Leon had planned but I had no choice since Ella had ordered me to attend.
I looked at myself one last time in the mirror before pulling away and heading into the hallway. When we had first arrived when the hallways only had servants traveling around, But due to the banquet I could see many beast kin exploring the palace. Some had wolf or rabbit ears while others had fox and mouse ears on the top of their heads. It was truly a strange sight for me as someone who grew up in the human kingdom where beast kin were rare.
"Hero!"

I ignored the occasional whisper as I stopped by the rooms of each of my fiancés only to be left frowning.
'Where are they?' I questioned as I failed to find a single one of my fiancés nor my mother and elder sister.
'Are they with Leon at the banquet' I couldn't deny that I was hoping that at least one of them would be my partner.
'…..' I ignored my twisted heart and slowly walked through the palace toward the destination where the banquet was being held.

The banquet hall wasn't as grand as the one in the capital but it was more than enough to be amazed at. The celling seemed as if it was covered with numerous trees that all overlapped to enclose the space, White spheres hung down from the branches with lights in them that illuminated that area. The walls towered high with the one on the right adorned a large black curtain that was engraved with gold thread.
'Beautiful….' I felt some of the negative emotions in my heart calm down as I saw the majestic sight before my eyes.
'It seems the banquet will start soon' I glanced around and saw that the room was already packed full.
'But where are they….' Almost two hundred guests were socializing and chatting yet I couldn't see who I was looking for.
'It should be easy to find seven half naked women in a room full of so many men….' Ella and the others were no where to be seen which made me think they still weren't here.
"Hero!"
"Hero!" I didn't have a change to think for to long because I was bombarded by a large group of beast kin.
"Hero it's a pleasure to meet you!" A beast kin with rabbit ears bowed his head toward me with a smile on his face.
"Please accept this drink" A man with rabbit ears offered me a glass full of green liquid that I assumed was alcohol.
"No accept mine!" He was shouldered away by another beast kin who had a pair of furry bear ears on his head.
"Thank you" I didn't hesitate to grab one of the glasses of liquor that was offered and swiftly gulped it down.
"The hero is quite the drinker!" The bear eared man laughed out loud cheerfully with the others joined in.
"Haha!"
"That's how a man should be!"
'It doesn't feel bad….' I usually didn't like receiving such attention but I smiled a little feeling my mood lifted up.
"Hero did you hear the news?" One of the men with rabbit ears leaned closer to me as if trying to keep others from hearing.
"About what?" I asked while downing another drink and cursing the goddesses blessing that made it hard to get drunk.
"Apparently the beast king is going to make a huge announcement today" He said with a smile as his words caused me to pause for a second.
'Thorn is making an announcement?' I thought back to the meeting with Grim and the offer that Leon had supposedly given Thorn.
'….' I could already make a guess about what would be announced.
