Chapter 24 - Nine Clouds World

Xia Tian stood in front of the flying artifact, which was flying toward a planet, accompanied by Han Shuo and Huang Xiaoyan. "Old Tian, according to your previous request, I think this Nine Clouds World is the most suitable place for you and all your wives for now, especially since this planet is located in the middle region of the upper realms."

"Which continent do you want to live on, Tian?" Huang Xiaoyan asked.

The Nine Clouds World is a vast planet floating in the sky. It has countless floating islands, mountains, and rivers drifting along by invisible currents of spiritual energy. The planet's gravity is irregular in many areas, allowing vast landmasses to float freely and creating habitable layers of sky.

As its name suggests, the Nine Clouds World has nine continents. Each continent is vast in size, and its size is even much larger than the Seven Stars World as a whole. Spiritual energy flows through the earth, air, and water on the planet, allowing cultivators to increase their strength, sharpen their senses, or even manipulate the elements of nature.

However, the nine continents are not divided into islands; they are stacked from bottom to top, with the highest almost directly adjacent to outer space. Each layer is connected by several naturally formed pillars of light, allowing its inhabitants to travel back and forth between the nine continents. Normally, cultivators from the upper continents cannot descend to the lower continents, but cultivators from the lower continents can ascend to the upper continents.

Each continent is inhabited by humans and other living beings from various other races, such as demons, winged races, natural races, beast races, and demi-human races.

Each continent has many hidden ruins, ancient artifacts, and concentrated areas of spiritual energy that attract cultivators from across the realm to explore them. Ambitious cultivators have the chance to obtain extraordinary power by discovering lost techniques or even uncovering secrets that will reshape the world.

The environment on each continent is diverse; some continents are shrouded in storms, others are often plunged into darkness, while others enjoy clear skies and constant sunlight.

Certain areas have the highest concentration of spiritual energy, creating regions where cultivators can progress much more rapidly, while other areas experience unstable or depleted spiritual energy flows. Naturally, powerful cultivators choose to live in areas rich in spiritual energy to develop themselves, and conflicts over control of these areas often occur.

"Hmm?" Xia Tian thought for a moment. "If I remember correctly, the nine continents are Shenluan Continent, Heiyuan Continent, Luoying Continent, Qianlan Continent, Honglian Continent, Mingyuan Continent, Ziyun Continent, Qingluan Continent, and Zongtian Continent."

"Yes." Huang Xiaoyan nodded at Xia Tian. "The bottom is the Shenluan Continent, and the top is the Zongtian Continent. The peaceful one is the Mingyuan Continent, and the chaotic one is the Heiyuan Continent because most of its inhabitants are demons and darkness cultivators."

Xia Tian nodded slightly. "Even though a hundred years is short for us cultivators, a hundred years can bring about significant changes in all realms. So, which is more challenging, the Luoying Continent or the Ziyun Continent?"

"Why don't you take them to the Zhongtian Continent, Old Tian?" Han Shuo asked. "That continent is the best compared to the others, so I think it's the best choice. Moreover, I have a disciple of that continent, and I can ask him to help you with everything."

Xia Tian sighed softly as he shook his head. "Old Han, have you forgotten that many of my enemies live in the Zhongtian Continent? I fear that bringing them there would reveal my true identity too quickly. Moreover, their cultivation hasn't broken through to the Seven Divine Realms yet, remember? I can act easily in the Seven Stars World with my past experience, but this planet is in the upper realms, and there are countless cultivators at that stage here."

"If the cultivators on this planet dare to attack you, I will kill them all," Huang Xiaoyan said viciously. "Ouch! Why did you slap my buttocks that hard?"

"Do you think you're strong enough to face all the cultivators on this planet?" Xia Tian responded with a shake of his head. "In the past, I was much stronger than you, remember? However, I don't dare say that I can face them all with my past strength, especially those who live on the Zongtian Continent."

Huang Xiaoyan rubbed her buttocks without arguing with Xia Tian. "If you want to be like that, you have to take them to live on the Luoying Continent because it is more challenging than the Ziyun Continent. Even though the Luoying Continent is in the bottom three, the spiritual energy concentration there is high and not inferior to the top three continents. Additionally, there's a dual cultivation sect there, and they have the Yin-Yang Lake, which will be very useful for you."

"The Luoying Continent, is it?" Both Huang Xiaoyan and Han Shuo nodded to Xia Tian. "In that case, we'll go to that continent now, and I want to find a mansion there to live in."

"Hehe." Huang Xiaoyan giggled. "I don't think we need to buy a mansion, Tian. Instead, we can use my new artifact, so we don't have to waste so many spiritual stone."

"A new artifact?"

Huang Xiaoyan nodded in response. "For now, we should go to the Luoying Continent first, and I'll show you my new artifact after we find a suitable place. However, I think we don't need to stay in the city, and we must find an area near a small town, so we will live in a safer and more peaceful environment."

"Alright." Xia Tan turned to Han Shuo, who immediately flew his flying artifact towards the Luoying Continent via one of the formed pillars of light.

Luoying is a vast continent, and its terrain includes rolling plains, gentle hills, broad rivers, and scattered mountain ranges. The weather is generally temperate, with warm summers and mild winters in the lowlands, while the highlands are colder and sometimes experience snowfall. Several major rivers flow across the continent, providing fertile soil that supports agriculture and settlement.

The continent is rich with natural resources, and dense forests cover much of the land area. There are also open grasslands and rocky hills. Its soil and climate make it an important agricultural region, producing grains, fruits, and other crops that support a growing population.

"This continent is truly vast compared to what I remember." Xia Tian then asked his two friends for their opinions. "So, which area do you two think is suitable for us to live in?"
