Chapter 578 - Authority of Kings

Arceus had selected ten Pokemon as "Kings."

The so-called authority to create Kings.

After all, not all the Pokemon in his hands were able to become Nobles.

'Possible.'

As the voice fell, a white jade flute emitting rainbow radiance appeared before John.

John hurriedly reached out to grasp it.

[Celestial Flute: Special item, a flute containing the power of Creator God Arceus. Playing it will receive Arceus's protection]

'This flute contains my power. If you find other Plates, you can play it to inform me. Moreover, it is also my credential, able to make ordinary Pokemon into Kings.'

He wasn't interested in making species have one more King. He only planned to make his own Pokemon into Nobles.

And his own Pokemon, if they became Kings, then naturally they'd be the strongest of their species!

If any Pokemon wanted to challenge that? Let them come!

He had that much confidence, at least.

The three wishes had been fulfilled. Arceus wouldn't linger. Lifting its hooves, it tore open a Distortion World portal and kicked all three useless children inside.

Letting them properly sober up in the Distortion World and clear out the dark matter inside.

According to John's earlier observation of the Distortion World's actual dark matter concentration, cleaning it up would probably take a very long time.

Even if it took a thousand years, John wouldn't find it strange.

This was also a good thing for the Hisui region.

Without Giratina, Dialga, and Palkia causing trouble, at least incidents like what happened at Sendoff Spring would drastically decrease.

Even if in the future Cyrus wanted to use those three to cause problems, he probably couldn't.

After arranging the Temple of Sinnoh altar at its original location, Arceus opened a portal and stepped inside, disappearing without a trace.

Watching the portal completely close, John let out a light breath.

Mega Gardevoir teleported John away. Finding a spot near the newly flattened Mount Coronet area, they opened the secret base and returned to reality.

In reality, John was still in the space-time rift.

The Pokemon were training as usual.

John didn't disturb them, only calling Greninja over first.

He couldn't wait to try out the "authority to create King."

Taking out the Celestial Flute, he played it.

A clear, melodious tune rang out.

John found it hard to describe what the melody was like, but it was completely different from when Volo had played it before.

A familiar scene, John had witnessed this process of Pokemon becoming Nobles before.

However, normally a crown was obtained from another Pokemon's body, but Greninja's crown appeared from nothing, materializing out of thin air.

John hurriedly opened Greninja's stat screen to examine it carefully.

[Greninja (Water/Dark-Type) (King)]

[Level: 98]

[Ability: Battle Bond (Through bond power, undergoes special evolution "John Form")

King's Presence (All stats increased by 30%, Water-type and Dark-type move power increased by 30%. Obtained special field "Mist Domain")]

-Mist Noble's Domain: Upon entering, automatically spreads white mist. In the white mist, movement speed increased by 50%, Water-type move power increased by 50%, stamina consumption reduced by half, created mist cannot be detected]

[Moves: Bubble, Quick Attack, Growl, Lick, Mist, Water Pulse, Shadow Clone, Substitute...]

[Held Items: None]

"Mist Domain..." John raised his chin, contemplating the effects of this domain.

As for the Water-type and Dark-type boost of 30%, that actually wasn't worth dwelling on.

Greninja's main attack method was still his trusty UltimateWater Shuriken. Having some Water-type power increase was just icing on the cake.

As for the actual effects once the domain was deployed—

Entering and releasing mist that couldn't be detected.

In John's view, this was only really useful for arena battles. If brought to fight Dialga and Palkia, the opponent's casual move would probably blow away the mist instantly.

So the environmental changes brought by the domain didn't greatly affect high-level battles.

However, stamina consumption reduced by half in the white mist was genuinely impressive. This meant Greninja's Double Team could advance to the next level.

After all, substitutes consumed stamina.

"Not bad." John finally gave his evaluation.

It seemed to roughly double Greninja's overall combat power.

If he could give other Pokemon this level of enhancement, it would bring an extremely high boost to his team's overall strength.

"Have everyone come here." John instructed Gardevoir.

Next, what John needed to do was make all the Pokemon on his team, whether the first squad or the fourth and fifth squads, into their species' Nobles!
