Chapter 332 - Chapter 332

Hans took blow after blow, completely caught off guard by how strong and potent Michael's energy has gotten over the span of their small break between battles in Olympia...

He was donned in complete ice... An armor so thick and so cold that it damaged Hans if he even got too close...

And it didn't help that he had left behind his left gauntlet in order to keep Chase from falling to his demise... Or worse...

He delivered a terrible strike with his right hand, smashing straight through the helmet on Michael's face, but it quickly regenerated at the speed of sound, trapping Hans' right hand in the frozen mask.

"Damnit!" He yelled, feeling the skin on his hand begin to decay from frostbite...

'How do I beat him without killing him...' He scrambled mentally, glancing here and there and the abyss below the platform they battled on.

Hans was in a terrible state, with marks of frostbite eating away at his chestplate, kneecap, and entire right arm.

He pulled back with intense might, ripping his hand free and backing away from the threat that was Michael.

"Mikey! Remember me! The goalkeeper of the Aetherball team!" Hans yelled in hopes of stalling for the only person who could be an emotional anchor for Michael to return to his body.

"No." He responded with a lifeless voice, three giant ice tendrils forming like liquid behind him, and shooting straight at Hans who tried to block, knocking away all but one.

That tendril stabbed straight through Hans's right side, ripping his flesh clean from his body, leaving behind a terrible wound of frost.

'Clever...' Hans thought, unable to use his earth manipulation upon the suspended frozen platform...

He also wondered how big Michael's catalyst must have been for this much creation magic... But shook his head, clenching his fist and reaching deep within his own catalyst...

The ceiling began to break apart...

"I can't beat you..." He chuckled honestly... Wearing an exhausted grin as the earth around the hall began to break apart. And somewhere below at the very same time, the southern walls shattered and a wave of water began to fill the room below.

"But I know someone who can..."

Just in the nick of time...

A figure donned in bright purple armor with golden trims... Descended upon the madness from above...

Gideon clutched his arms together, forming a sign with his hands as the entire field of gravity within the room began to change... Shift in his favor...

Then it all was under his control...

He boomed with laughter, finally able to join in on the fun between the students of Phoenix Academy.

It all had come together... All of the memories... The good and bad times... And he made sure he wouldn't miss it for the world.

The water began to lift, filling the air as Equan soared through the sky with blasts of lightning firing behind him like a some sort of gatling gun spell.

Then his laughter echoed through the vast room as he zapped past Gideon, smacking him on the back and reaching the giant floating pool of water, zipping straight into it like a comet...

Then the center of the water began to glow...

Gideon cocked an eyebrow, Michael froze in place, and Hans almost began laughing himself...

Golden light began to radiate throughout the entire room as the center of the giant mass of water began too...

"ELECRIFY!!!" He screamed from within the water, as it began to disperse and thousands of lightning bolts shot out of it... Each containing the energy to light up an entire city...

"Hell yeah!" Gideon yelled, descending quickly upon Michael as he manipulated the gravity allowing him to fly.

He landed with a terribly powerful kick to Michael's frozen helmet, instantly freezing the boot on Gideon's foot, but the kick was mighty, sending Michael flying to the corner of the platform.

"No more holding back!" Gideon exclaimed to Hans before gritting his teeth at the pain in his leg.

"Don't get too close... We have to subdue him with ranged attacks..." Hans said with a pain expression behind his helmet.

"Mind control?" Gideon raised an eyebrow out of curiosity.

Hans nodded, pulling debris from the air like a magnet as it began to cover the horrible wound on his side.

Gideon pondered for a moment, before grinning.

"Remember Aetherball?" He asked, still wearing a grin.

Hans nodded.

"We didn't play offense... But I've always wondered what it was like..." Gideon chuckled, pulling his hands down in a strange motion, but soon countless giant clusters of stone and sediment began to rain down from above...

Hans boomed with laughter, reaching out with his left hand as a green earthly energy began to glow between his fingers, forming rings along each one.

"I understand..." He muttered darkly, breaking apart each cluster of rock with his earth manipulation, and pointing his hand towards Michael, who instantly realized what was happening.

Gideon and Hans grinned as their energy combined to make a rain made of the earth itself, rocketing towards the ground like meteors...
