Chase soared forward, gritting his teeth and ignoring the pain as the enemies grew closer by the nano-second.
He clutched his sword, glaring into Gemini's eyes as his fire burned even hotter.
He; however, feinted towards Gemini, turning in a split second, and launching the edge of his sword towards the throat of the Troll.
SNAP!
CLATTER!
The sword shattered the second that it met the Troll's throat who didn't even bother meeting his gaze...
"Tch!" Chase clicked his tongue, stepping in front of Gemini as the seemingly incoherent Troll stood there motionless.
He looked into Gemini's eyes, making sure that he kept his body burning... Mainly targeting the point of corruption in his chest.
It had sped up because of the beings in the void... Although by some convenient timing, they could not directly kill him. They had indeed sped up the process of the corruption, intending on killing him through that.
Luckily Luna was there, giving him advice that had saved his life.
Telling him that he could burn away the corruption at the cost of his own body.
Although it wasn't going to permanently remove it, he could slow it down, giving him enough time to fight at full strength for this inevitable battle.
He glanced at the tears flowing down Gemini's left cheek.
"It's alright... I'm sorry you had to go through this..." He said sadly, unmoving as the Troll and two mimics didn't dare make a move against him.
"What are you doing!?" Hextra yelled from her throne like a child.
"Kill him now!" She screamed orders at her servants, who seemed almost...
Petrified in fear of Chase... Or at least the two mimics, since the Troll didn't seem capable of any thought at all.
They didn't dare move...
"Gemini... You can fight this..." Chase continued, reaching out a hand and forcing his flames to retreat up his arms...
However, although he felt as if he needed to do this. He could both feel and see the corruption eating away at his hand.
Then...
Gemini spoke.
"Don't... Bring the flames back." He demanded. His eye showing a scary amount of his own determination.
Then Gemini's left eye returned to its original state...
"Let's kill these bastards..." Gemini grinned, forcing Chase to grin in response.
Then one of the mimics realized what was happening, leaping towards Chase with its mouth wide open.
"Not this time." He growled, lowering his head and grabbing the throat of mimic with his smoldering hand.
It began to burn.
Then it began.
The other mimic leaped at him, but before it could reach him... Luke slammed a giant scarlet chain into its face, knocking it back into wall with tremendous force.
The troll took a step, shattering the floor below it...
But a bolt of lightning struck him in the face before it could attack Chase.
Although it didn't do any damage, it caused the troll to back away for a moment.
Chase grinned at each and every one of his allies from behind the flames.
Then he hurled the mimic at the other wall.
"I'll leave them to you guys..." He said bluntly before launching himself into the fog-filled throne room, soaring straight at the goddess with nothing but raw killing intent.
She smirked.
Then several giant snakes crawled off of her skin, becoming physical objects that took their own place within reality.
They reeled back and launched themselves at Chase's soaring figure, causing him to dodge to the ground, sliding underneath the snap of ones jaw, while maneuvering left around the snap of another.
He used the ground to push himself further, launching another twenty meters towards the throne.
'You just have to touch her once... Let me handle the rest...' Luna's angered voice rose within his mind.
Chase nodded mentally, punching the ground with his body low to it, forcing his body to roll over the snap of the final snake's jaw, then he pressed his burning feet into the rubber skin of the snake's head- Launching himself directly at Hextra...
Who simply waved her hand...
And launched Chase into the ceiling above with a deafening crash, causing the entire ceiling to quake and tremble.
However, with the amount of pain his body was already in.
He could only grin, launching himself from the ceiling- directly towards Hextra's throne.
He dodged the next wave of invisible force, but felt the presence of a soul behind him in the air.
He cursed internally, realizing he wouldn't be able to dodge it.
BOOM!
Lightning ripped through the body of the giant snake, and Equan could be seen suspended in the air behind it with a bloodied grin of his own.
'Right...'
Chase remembered.
He wasn't fighting this battle alone.
He dodged right, avoiding the next attack, but also missing out on an attack of his own, but that was the whole point...
A bolt of lighting struck Hextra in the chest, knocking her back against the stone throne.
Equan shot forward, grabbing Hextra by the throat, while glaring down at her with an intense bloodlust.
"You hurt my friends..." He growled, before something strange happened.
The invisible force sent him flying into the air before stopping him...
"NO!" Chase screamed from afar as Equan's arms twisted in unnatural ways...
Then his body was launched into the furthest wall, forming a crater the size of a house...
