"Star, we got a contact coming right towards us." A pilot says as Star acknowledges.
Star sends out a pulse with New Order and feels that Tomura is closing in fast. Despite not being the only person in Japan with a quirk that gives flight, Star knew that Tomura was the only one foolish, or brave enough, to stand in her way.
"Gain some altitude and pick up speed. We'll try to outrun the bastard and reach U.A. I'm sure Nezu has something hiding under that school." She said as the X-66 fighter jet below her started to accelerate. For now, the three other heroes she brought for backup were still inside one of the planes.
Despite his power, even Defiant wasn't able to keep up with the jets, and so he was down below waiting for his chance to strike. Defiant was joined by Sunstrike, a man whose quirk let him store energy from the sun inside himself before releasing it in devastating attacks, and Tyrannical, who was meant to give Gigantomakia a run for his money since his quirk let him turn into a multitude of dinosaurs, the strongest being the Tyrannosaurus.
A/N-I know, lol, I couldn't think of anything for them, so I threw something together for Sunstrike and Tyrannical.
"He's still chasing after us." "Where is he now?" Below and behind us, but his speed seems to be able to keep up with us for now." "Push harder if you can, just get us to Japan. We'll deal with Tomura if he gets any closer."
As the heroes started planning how to deal with Tomura as they got closer to Japan, Tomura had a scowl on his face as the Nomu he was riding struggled to keep up with the jets. 'I get that they're a superpower, but jeez, final boss should be the nukes, not these noobs.'
Tomura felt the urge to scratch his neck for the first time in weeks and shoved it down. 'You need to stay away from her, Tomura. Your body is struggling with my power; it can't handle hers as well.' The vestige of AFO warned within him as Tomura shoved him deep, 'Stay dead!'
For the next hour, Tomura stubbornly chased after the jets before they finally were forced to slow down, just what he had been waiting for. Tomura grinned as he unleashed an aircannon, hoping to knock at least one jet, of course, but was disappointed when a shout from one of the jets neutralized the pressure.
'What a pain. I was hoping Master's old contacts in the states would keep the rest of them away, seems she was serious about the killing.' Tomura thought as Defiant rose into the air and planted his feet on a jet adjacent to Star's.
"Quite eager to rush towards his death, isn't he?" Trannical quipped as Suntrike smiled, Star and Defiant didn't. They continued to glare at Tomura as he slowly got closer, probing them to see how close he could get before they did anything.
"Any word from Japan?" Star asked as Defiant blocked another blast of air, keeping the jets safe while Star talked with the pilots. "Nothing, Ma'am, interference most likely. We can try and punch through on a few channels that U.A. and the HPSC use, but it's a long shot." "Go for it."
Star turned and scowled as Tomura finally got closer enough to see. His face was scarred and pale, most likely still weak after battling against the heroes and Carter. She didn't let that get in the way of what she would do, however, as she decided to act.
'New Order' Suddenly, the air around Tomura becomes a vacuum as he's forced to hold his breath. He tries to get closer to see how far it goes, but as he gets closer, a bolt of light streaks towards him, and he reflects and scatters the quirk. It surprises the heroes, but the jet's armor plating holds up as Defiant smacks away the bolts that come too close to certain spots.
"No more ranged attacks, only CQC," Star orders as she keeps the order going so that Tomura can't breathe. As the jets slow down even more as their altitude starts to drop, Star notices Tomura gathering energy and orders Defiant back inside.
As Tomura sends a compound attack of Radio waves, Air Cannon, and Heavy Payload, the jets activate their shock shields as Star uses two commands. The air above her compresses into an outline resembling her as the giant air Star grabs Tomura's attack and throws it back at him.
She cancels the orders as the pilots finally reach Nezu. "Sir, we've been engaged by Tomura above Japanese airspace, we're currently decelerating to reach to ground. Star and Defiant are keeping him back." Nezu scrambled to connect another call to the HPSC president and the Prime Minister as he personally calls heroes to go assist.
Tomura and the Nomu go flying as they finally break through the clouds and see the island of Japan below them. Off in the distance, a flaming speck grows larger as backup gets closer.
'How strange, she's not being as aggressive as she usually is.' AFO muses as Tomura growls for him to be quiet. 'I'm surprised she's not charging after you in a rage at what you did to her son, to think a hero could have such a level head.' Speeding back, Tomura scowled as he saw Star and Defiant joined by another pro Hero, Endeavor.
"We need to get you three to U.A. now. We can't risk losing any of your quirks, not yet." Endeavor said as he scowled at Tomura. His frown deepened as Defiant blocked another air cannon. "Tell me, Endeavor, why do you fight?" He looked confused, "Because I'm a hero, it's my job."
Star tore her eyes away from Tomura as she looked into his eyes. "I'm not asking you, but the man behind the mask. Why do you fight?" Endeavor thought for a moment, then told her. "For my family, and my children, even if they hate me." Defiant nodded in agreement as Tomura screamed in rage at being batted away by Star's avatar.
"Maybe one day your kids won't hate you, at least they're still alive," Star said as Endeavor sighed. Defiant nodded. "For our children."
The jet below them suddenly shakes as the pilot's panicked voice comes through. "Star, several new bogey's just appeared outta nowhere! They look like Nomu!" The trio took to the air and saw dozens of Nomu attacking the jets, being blasted apart only to regenerate as Tomura closed in.
"Take Trannical and Sunstrike to U.A., the rest of you focus on the Nomu while we deal with Tomura!" She fires off orders before taking to the air with Defiant and Endeavor.
'Use caution, Tomura. Alone, she is formidable; her allies will not let you take her quirk easily.' AFO warns as he slowly tries to influence Tomura's thoughts. "Bring it on, noobs!" Tomura screams as Radio waves and blasts from Air Cannon race towards the heroes.
Defiant yells to deal with the Air Cannon as Star brings out her Avatar, taking a support role as Endeavor and Defiant go for the kill. "Flashfire Fist!" Endeavor roars as he unleashes flaming punches towards Tomura. Tanking the hits, he reaches for Endeavor's face as he approaches, only for Defiant to slam his feet into his ribs.
"Burn the Nomu!" He yells as Star's avatar raises its hands and claps, Tomura sandwiched between as the jet taking the other two heroes to safety returns with Hawks in tow. Endeavor unleashes hell on the Nomu as Hawks and Defiant go for the other Nomu, whittling them down slowly as Star calls in a special present the United States prepared for Tomura.
"Tiamat has been launched. You have 60 seconds before it reaches you, good luck, Cathy." Star nods, hearing this as Endeavor starts to burn the remains of the first Nomu. Endeavor turns his attention to where Tomura is and notices that he's slowly decaying the air holding him.
Not risking getting close without Eraserhead holding his quirks back, Endeavor goes to help the pilots and heroes as the Nomu become more desperate to get to their master. Then, a streaking plume of exhaust breaks through the clouds as everything stops. "They wouldn't dare!" Endeavor shouts as Defiant drags him and Hawks into a jet.
"This is for the people of Japan whom you have terrorized." Star declared as one of the avatars' hands moved, only for dozens of lasers to take its place as Tomura is forced against the sea floor. The Avatar reaches its hand towards the missile as Star continues. "This is for All Might, a shining beacon in the dark!"
The avatar barely grabs the missile as it swings its hand up before bringing it crashing down on Tomura, "This is for my son!" The world goes white as the mushroom cloud of destruction engulfs them all, the shockwaves being felt miles away as the sea boils away instantly.
Severely drained but not finished, Star glared down where Tomura should be as the sea started to slowly creep back. 'A hole?' She thinks seeing the dark spot before Tomura rockets out, hands outstretched with a manic grin on his face, as all the Nomu burst from within, distracting the pilots from firing as Tomura reaches for Star's face.
"Star, destroy my ship, NOW!" The pilot below roars as Star hesitates.
"I'll be putting that to better use. Say hi to your son in hell for me!" Tomura cries with glee, inches away from Star, as Defiant tackles his charred body out of the air. "NOT THIS TIME BITCH!" He roars as Star freezes, not expecting Defiant, who'd been against her for years, to do such a thing.
"YOU FUCKING AHHHH!" Tomura screams as his charred body struggles to regenerate after such a lethal dose of radiation and Defiant's constant attacks. "Since you're so eager, I'll take your quirk first!" He clamps his hand over his face as he activates AFO, doing nothing.
"I REFUSE!" Defiant screams as the pain of resisting AFO tears at his nerves; his whole body feels like someone is tearing out his nervous system, but he doesn't let up as Star snaps out of her thoughts, grim-faced as she calls upon the pilots to fire their lasers, Endeavor adding his flames to the mix.
'Here, let me assist you, Tomura.' AFO's vestige smiles as they finally rip Defiant's quirk out of his body, relishing the addition of new power. 'FUCK YOU BITCH!' AFO is shocked as Defiant roars from the vestigial world he had been cultivating within Tomura.
'I BOW TO NO ONE!' The vestige screams, looking completely different from the main body's muscular appearance, appearing as a rather thin teen instead. 'I may not be from this world, but I will defend it till the last.' Defiant thinks as he and the vestige turn to face Star and Endeavor as one.
