"I don't want to see you get hurt," he frowned and knelt down next to my bed and pressed the back of my hand to his cheek. "Even though you're annoying, I've become rather fond of you."
I tried to laugh but found my throat was still sore therefore I settled for a smile, "Thank you for the compliment."
The door to the room unexpectedly opened and Benecio was quick to stand as he let go of my hand. Zahi entered with a wary expression but gave us a small smile. "The doctor got all the results, he'll be here in a minute."
"Maybe I should go," Benecio scratched the back of his head.
"You can stay," Zahi offered, "You saved Dove after all, it's best you feel reassured that he will be okay."
