We walked.
That was all we were doing. Walking through the gallery, past walls that used to feel like home and now felt like a showroom. I felt like I was about to snap because Danilo kept glancing at me. Every two seconds. His eyes flicking to my face, to my hands, to my stomach, and back again. The little silver in his nose caught the gallery lights above us and flashed every time he turned.
I hated it.
I hated this gallery.
They had made it so... showy. Too fancy. It lost the soul. The cracked marble was gone. The dim corners were gone. Everything was bright white and chrome and security cameras.
And the art. Gosh, the art.
