Anning leaned against the wall outside the toy room, making sure she could see what was happening inside without Jixiang and Ruyi noticing her and Xiao Yuan.
She tried to hold back her laughter as she sized up Xiao Yuan, "Mr. Xiao, do you like me?"
"Uh-huh." Xiao Yuan nodded vigorously, "Like."
He looked at Anning nervously, "If... if you don't despise me, may I pursue you?"
He asked with extreme caution, as if he was terrified of frightening Anning, and equally afraid of being rejected by her.
"Sure."
Anning was not one to put on airs, and considering the connection she had with Xiao Yuan over several lifetimes, she wasn't about to make things difficult for him, nor would she act coy in front of him.
"If you're not willing..."
Xiao Yuan wanted to say more but, realizing that Anning had agreed, he felt a surge of joy, "You... you agreed?"
