The now Baron Henry has set on his journey to Verna, But before that he wanted to meet someone. Thus, he went to a place which was dark and wet. He walked through this alley and finally reached the place which was marked on the little paper that the beautiful girl Elena gave him. The weird place was a potion shop. He entered through the door which clicked a bell,"Ding Ding". "Hello is anybody there" he asked. But It was silent. Henry felt something eerie from behind the counter. He approached the counter cautiously with his hand on his sword ready to swing. "So why have you come" a voice from behind scared him. He turned. He saw the face of the Beautiful girl Elena again. For a few seconds the room was silent until Elena cleared her throat and asked Henry again for the reason for his presence there. He then reached into his bag and pulled out the trinket and handed it over to her. She looked stunned at him for handing over the trinket so soon. "So, What do you need me to do for you." She asked. "Oh nothing, Its just that the trinket seemed to be quite priceless". The greedy Henry voluntarily handed over the trinket which could have been useful for him. But why?
Elena was shocked at his reply and left a sigh. "So thats all? Then leave" She seemed unhappy. As she turned away, Henry asked "Can you give me some information on the city of Verna." She thought to herself "What is going on with him". She had done a background check on him before. He was a greedy person, as he never lets any situation go unbenifited, instead of asking for anything like money, he asked for info on Verna which is well known by anyone. Keeping her thoughts aside she went inside and came back with the information on Verna.
The Information it contained:
Verna, once the most prosperous land with its huge land covered with crops. With the river from behind the mountains watering the lands, the people there lived a happy life. But one day the dark energy of demons which was supposed to be only at the far south had flowed down the river turning the animals dangerous and demonic while corroding the land. The monsters thrashed the fields of Verna while the dark mist enroached the land. The Baron at that time ignored the villagers plea as it didn't affect much of the income of the land. The enraged citizens stormed the Barons manor. The commander of barons army seeing the peoples suffering went against the barons orders and launched a counter attack. He then recruited the able bodied men and marched south to destroy the source of the darkness. It was a fierce fight but still they failed to bring victory. As the Darkness spread further the baron took action as the people became more agitated and requested the capitals help. Soon the advancement of the darkness was stopped. It was made to only stop. The lands were still non cultivable. The Baron was deemed unworthy of the title and was demoted. The people of the land began to migrate. Thus another land was engulfed by the Demonic influence. And it had become leader less till now.
On reading this, Henry seemed to regain some memories of himself. It was the time of when he enroled in the suppression force to save his village, only to be faced with the brute force of the monsters up the stream. He watched as the soldiers fell. The commander still stood fighting until his final breath. He soon fell unconscious and was dragged by the monsters across the stream where he woke up and fought.
He then thanked Elena and was about to leave the place when, Elena finally asked him, his reason for using the trinket for only an information. He was silent at first, then he answered her question. "It's because Mark asked me to return it to his sister, Princess Irene". She then smirked saying"I guess you told my brother about our encounter." She then came closer, right upto his face and asked him about the compensation for revealing their encounter. He said "That's why I gave the trinket back, as compensation". She denied it as compensation as it was spent for the information. Henry then stutters "The-n what would you like me to do". She steps back and "I have a quest for you" says she.
