"You begged me!"
He emphasized the title "Mayor Williams" with an aggressive tone.
The Speaker of the House watched their argument for a while and couldn't help but tap the table, which quieted down both sides.
He knocked on the table forcefully, "Gentlemen, behave!"
"You are civilized people, not uneducated illiterates. Maintain your decorum and manners, don't make me think of you as clowns!"
He paused, "I roughly understand your current issues. I think, can we do it this way?"
He looked at Mayor Williams, "What Charles said isn't wrong. City Hall is certainly going to make a profit on this deal."
"Can you increase the amount slightly, don't be so rigid with it?"
He then looked at Charles, "The city's planning and development are also good for you local businessmen."
"As the city becomes more prosperous and the population grows, you'll earn more."
"You can certainly lower the price a bit, don't hold it so tightly."
