The room fell silent, and all eyes turned toward Alaric as they awaited his response.
Alaric took a deep breath. "We won't be staying here for long. We will depart to the Enchanted Woodlands right away and meet up with the elves in Greenwood Kingdom."
By this time, the negotiations between the Astanian Emperor and the Elven King should have already concluded.
If everything went according to plan, the elves would send an army to help them create a safe route directly leading to Cangnan.

He handed his granddaughter to Mathilda. He then leaned on his seat and let out a sigh. "You will be starting from scratch in Cangnan. The road ahead will be much more dangerous. You must exercise caution, my son."
