On the other side, Maru wasn't doing well either. The Mercenary Dual Blades she excelled at were completely ineffective in the Underground Cemetery—you couldn't expect skeletons to bleed, could you?
When facing previous Monsters, she could rely on her sharp blades to cut through them, but now her weapon was only leaving superficial marks on the Skull Demon, requiring continuous strikes at the same spot to finally cut through.
Now, that was troublesome.
The Skull Demons also had a certain level of intelligence, notably targeting the weakest link, so most of them ran towards Maru.
