Let's start off with my heartfelt hopes that you enjoyed this story, as well as my thanks for reading it to the end. I know it had some rough patches, and I will address that further down.
Now, I will defend a few things that happened at the end of the story.
Alice did not see Rosalie die in a vision because it happened when Demetri made the decision. There were only seconds between the decision and the action, and let's face it, Alice was a bit busy at the time.
This is more of an agreement with what I am sure many will say about the kids at the end… yeah, they are only 4 ½ years old and already making life decisions, even if physically they look older than 4ish. This was just to give readers some closure on the kids who admittedly didn't have much time in the story.
I will be the first to admit the story had its issues. Personally, I feel the first hundred or so chapters were the best. Somewhere in Nepal, I felt I lost it and hit a wall. Started to use AI to shape and spellcheck my chapters, then shortly after that I started using it for ideas, and for a while there I let it write, and I adjusted a bit. Eventually, I pulled it back, and I believe I started using AI as the tool it should be, not a co-author.
I always hated the way Leah was treated in the books and the movies, so she was definitely always going to be a big part of my story. I hoped I could tell her side a bit more authentically than I have seen in several fic's.
I will still monitor and answer comments on the story, but I truly feel this one is done for good. Time to move on to the next one (After about 6 (Okay maybe 3) months of rest).
Speaking of which… I am at a bit of a loss on where to go next. Care to offer some insight?
Harry Potter: Start at the end of Book 5 with Ron Weasley being attacked by the brains in the Department of Mysteries. The brains download some memories into him that make him a better person overall. He would force Hermione to see she was still in love with Harry, who loves her but thinks of it as sisterly affection. (Maybe add Ginny to their relationship?) Meanwhile, Ron's love interest becomes Daphne and Tracy (Who are together already) after he accidentally heals Astoria, invoking a marriage contract Daphne herself set up. (The roles of Daphne and Tracy will be played by Elsa and Anna, respectively.)
My issue here is that with the new series coming out on HBO, there will be an upswell of Harry Potter Fan-Fic's very soon. And, admittedly… I haven't really come up with a way to end it that doesn't scream already done.
The Boy's / Invincible: During the abortion of Eve and Mark's child, the fetus uses inherited matter manipulation powers to escape the procedure. He ends up in The Boys universe with a soul that still retains memories of past life. Even though they won't awaken until something bad happens to his adoptive father. Becomes a hero known as "Justicar" eventually, with no love interest in The Boys world. Once he handles things in this universe, he returns to Invincible looking for some Justice there as well. (Yeah, I am skipping a bunch of steps) The more his Viltrum powers kick in, the less he has of Eve's matter manipulation because his genes are being overwritten. (Can't have him too OP.)
Game of Thrones: Born in Dorne into the Martell family as Princess Arianne's younger twin brother. He has all his past life memories as well as Force powers and the ability to get industrial knowledge (Glass, ships, alcohol) once a year. He is someone who watched the HBO series only once, and that, along with memories of short videos, is all the knowledge he holds of the world. (So tired of everyone being reborn in the north…) Will eventually claim a dragon and the Throne of all Westeros, maybe more.
Star Wars: The God of Stories (Yeah, that one) sends a betrayed soul to the S.W. universe, along with Dobby and the transformer Skyfire (not to be confused with Jetfire). Together they set about irritating the Sith lords as well as the established Jedi (I am a little soft on the timeframe at the moment). This will be based on the movies and cartoons along with some cherry-picked lore. I kind of see this one ending with MC and friends helping the rebellion return the Senate, with the new "Jedi" being in a security role over the Senate to keep them honest. Masters oversee the Jedi the same way. Lots of checks and balances. Love interest is also soft, currently think Ahsoka, so long as it isn't the current soulless drone currently being portrayed on Disney. Could change to Leah, since Han screwed that up so thoroughly so many times.
These are just some ideas I have rumbling around the back of my head. I truly think my first two stories have shown me where I can improve my writing skills. Let me know what you would like to see.
