“Just wondering when His Highness is going to show up....”
“He’s not going to come that fast. The court lady just left.”
“There’s still a fair distance to Daeyeong Lodge,” Sohwa added. But Hwayeong shook her head.
“No, didn’t you see how quickly the maid came and went? He’s probably already at Baekryeon Lodge.”
“You can’t see anything from here anyway.”
“Then I guess I’ll have to go out and check.”
As if that had been her plan all along, Hwayeong stepped away from the window without hesitation.
Sohwa, now moving to tidy the mess on the table, replied with a sigh,
“Fine, go ahead. I’ll clean up in here.”
‘Might as well let her go blow off some steam—better than watching her make a mess of things again,’ Sohwa thought.
“I’ll be back,” Hwayeong called out cheerily.
“Yeah, yeah....”
Sohwa didn’t even look up, her tone indifferent.
As she moved to straighten the bedding, Hwayeong practically flew out the door.
