Cass sat there, Sam crying silently, Lucian holding him, and Byron looking like he had no idea what to do in this situation. Cass wasn't sure why they were behaving this way.
Lucian's breaths were harsh in his ear, more so than when he'd been in his bed in pleasure. Cass normally would have blushed at that thought, but he didn't. Not this time.
"Cass, fuck, at least hug me back." Lucian sounded upset and Cass wasn't exactly sure why. Awkwardly, he raised his hands up and patted his back. That seemed to upset Lucian more. "Shit. Just yell at me or something. Get mad. It's so clear to me that you are upset, so get fucking upset, Cass." Lucian rumbled. "Are all nobles like this? Bottling it up?" Lucian was trying to get a rise out of him.
Cass could spot it from a mile away. He was so obvious about it. It would only be cemented if he made a comment about his magic powers or called him Lord Blackburn.
