The valley below shuddered as they descended. Demonic roars erupted from within the dark stone tunnels. The demons were caught off guard for only a heartbeat before they swarmed outward in a wave of bone, claws, and corrosive energy.
The battle erupted instantly.
Victor's squad hit the ground first. Victor landed like a meteor, his fist driving into the earth and sending a shockwave across the valley floor. Dozens of demons were blasted backward, their bodies skidding across the jagged green surface. Before they could stand again Victor had already shouted for his squad.
