Arthur couldn't help but scoff at the demi-human's arrogant words. 'Go ahead of me?' Was he really expecting that he'd survive this duel after kidnapping one of their prisoners? He'd be lucky if he kept his head.
He observed his opponent. The scaled demi-human was no amateur, he could tell that. Even though he displayed a lackadaisical sense of posture, Arthur's sword heart was telling him that there was no obvious weakness in his form.
This was really surprising. Even his peers among the Order looked like cheese in front of his observant view. Everyone had a weakness. No matter how stiff and guarded they tried to be, Arthur could still easily pick out one or two vulnerabilities within their posture.
But this demi-human was the exact opposite. His posture had no form. It looked lazy, with his slouched back, hands free falling to the sides, and his shoulders uneven. Heck, his eyes were not even focused on his opponent!
