Liam's pov
After the whole discussion with Nightwing which turned into a bit of a interrogation but I luckily managed to slip away as Nightwing told everyone to have a break as we everyone went their separate ways as I sat down on a bench suddenly Lila came next to me with her fake ass smile.
"Hi there hope you don't mind me sitting here I just thought you look lonely because I know how that feels you see" then she starts rambling on about her sob story life honestly the way she just turned the attention back on herself makes it so obvious she just wanted to talk about her story to make me feel sorry and pity for her but unfortunately I'm not like the others.
As I was zoned out she finally finshed her sob story wiping a few of her crocodile tears away as she looks up at me expecting me to show her sympathy but instead all I say is.
"I see well everyone has some ups and downs in their life it's just how it is no one's life is perfect after all" I say to her honestly she looks at me confused and a bit frustrated why I am not trying to comfort her as Adrian soon comes to my side along side Chloe as Lila says her goodbyes to me and goes her own way I catch her sour and frustrated expression when she turns away and leaves.
"what was that all about she literally came to you and made it seem like she cares about you but she just came to tell you her story honestly I was suspicious of her kindness but now seeing what she has done is definitely fake" Chloe says to me as she sits down next to me as Adrian sits on the other side "yeah I agree but I wonder why she is pretending to be someone she is not" Adrian says confused and curious.
"Well whatever her reason is it's definitely not a excuse for her to be the way she is" I say to both Adrian and Chloe as they both nod agreeing with me.
A few hours later
I hear a commotion going on and check it out and see that security guards are everywhere as some are discussing with the justice league as I see the rest of the class are stressing out as they spot me suddenly everyone is quiet and glaring at me as suddenly Alya steps forward.
"Well look who showed up to the scene of the crime got anything to say for yourself Liam" Alya says crossing her arms over her chest.
"Well I don't really have anything to say if I have no idea what you are talking about" I say to Alya as a security walks up to me "young man you have been accused of stealing a ancient precious artifact of the museum you are going to have to come with us."
"I never stole anything sir who told you this" I ask as he points to Lila as "Oh I see she told you but are you seriously going off what she says sir do you even have any evidence."
"Hey are you saying Lila is a liar she said she saw you stole the artifact and she didn't want to say anything because it could get you in trouble but I told her she should tell the truth just confess and don't blame other people you should also apologize to Lila" Alya says loudly glaring at me as most of the class agrees with her as Lila fakes her concern and says there is no need for me to apologize making her look like a saint not wanting me to get in trouble.
Chloe and Adrian instantly stand up for me "Hey don't be so rude Alya Liam is right what evidence does anyone even have you guys can't blame him for something you don't even know if he took and just base it off of Lila" Adrian says angrily shocking Alya, Marinette and the rest of the class.
"Exactly don't go blaming Liam for something you guys have no proof of" Chloe says to the class glaring at them as she turns to the security team "if anyone one of you dares to even touch Liam I will call my daddy and get you guys fired and get you locked up in prison" Chloe says threatening them as the security team instantly gulp in fear they know that Chloe's father basically owns the museum building and could easily get them fired.
"alright Chloe it's alright you don't need to do that but thanks for your support anyways and thanks for yours as well Adrian" I tell them feeling grateful to have them by my side as they smile at me.
I look at the security guards and the class "well since you guys think I'm a thief why don't we check the security cameras first" the security team look nervous for some reason and steal a glance at Lila as she shakes her head showing no without anyone.
"unfortunately we are not allowed to let anyone have access or watch the camera footage now please come with us and stop making things difficult young man."
"Why can't we see the camera footage in fact that is what you guys were supposed do in the first place before you guys accused anyone now show us this footage and I'm not asking" Nightwing says sternly to the security team as they nod their heads having no choice and lead everyone to the camera room.
I notice that Lila is typing something on her phone secretly as we arrive at the camera room as the security team open the door as we enter as see a security guard already there as Nightwing forces them to show us the camera footage as everyone looks at the screen as it plays the entire footage of today as I notice that the parts of when the ancient artifact was stolen was cut out of the video.
Nightwing of course notices this as well and gets suspicious "move out of the way" Nightwing says to the security guard shoving them out of the way as he types on the computer and starts to hack it getting back the lost deleted footage as the security team and Lila are stressing although Lila is still trying to act calm and not suspicious.
After a few minutes Nightwing managed to get the deleted footage back as he presses play as the screens display the deleted parts and after a few seconds it can be seen one security guy is acting suspicious and looking around as he disabled the alarm on the ancient artifact and steals it and puts it in a black bag and walks away.
Nightwing and the rest of the justice league look at the security team as they quickly try to make a run for it as kid flash zooms in front of them "where are you guys going" he says grinning as he quickly trips them and knocks them out easily.
Soon the justice league take the security team into custody as the rest of the class are talking about the incident and comforting Lila as she pretends to be overwhelmed by this whole situation.
"they don't even bother apologizing to you Liam and no one is questioning why Lila lied about seeing you steal it's so unfair" Adrian says feeling disappointed in his classmates "yeah it's not fair Lila literally told everyone she saw you do it but no one is questioning why she said she saw you when clearly it was not you honestly it's utterly ridiculous" Chloe says fuming with anger.
"don't worry guys I have a plan" I say as Adrian and Chloe look at me curious what my plan is as I walk up to Lila and the rest of the class as Lila looks up at me and fakes a guilty face "I'm sorry Liam I really thought you took it Liam I must of being seen things" she says as she cries fake tears once again as Alya and the rest of the class comforts her.
Instead of acting out and getting upset like what Lila wants I don't do any of that "it's alright Lila people make mistakes you must of just seen wrong don't worry about it I forgive you" I say to her calm as ever as she looks at me a bit shocked and frustrated why I'm not reacting as she accidentally blurts out "What why are you apologising" she says with a attitude as she is upset her plan didn't work.
"Lila why are you being so rude to Liam he forgive you" the teacher says as Lila realizes that she now looks like the villain as everyone looks at her confused as Lila quickly covers up "Oh um I'm sorry teacher I didn't mean to and I'm sorry Liam for accusing you" Lila says forcing her self to apologise as she tries to keep her anger under control.
Soon enough it's the end of the day as everyone heads back to the hotel to rest after the events that took place today.
