After the incident, Jax returned to the Cathedral instead of going to another one of the Clan's for an introduction, deciding to relax himself for a bit and check his Ledger of Fate to track what was going on.
When he reached back, he immediately checked the Ledger, and made sure everything was still going on track, and there was no problems, calming him.
Now, he was in his personal chamber, moonlight filtering through its high, arched windows, silver illumination spilling across dark stone walls etched with demonic runes that pulsed faintly in rhythm with his presence.
Jax lay sprawled back against the massive bed carved from obsidian and living wood, his broad frame relaxed but never truly unguarded. One arm rested loosely around Serika, who was half draped across his chest, her smaller body fitting against him as if she belonged there by right.
She slept deeply.
