The throne room was silent as Jax, Sabrina, and Serika entered.
The vast chamber seemed alive with gentle energy. Soft rays of sunlight filtered through towering crystal windows high above, scattering into thousands of shimmering rainbows across the polished floor.
Streams of luminous water flowed through shallow channels carved into the crystal tiles, winding their way through beds of radiant flowers that released faint glowing motes into the air.
At the far end of the chamber rose a colossal white tree whose trunk was wider than most towers in Terra. Its bark glowed with a soft silver sheen, and its immense branches stretched upward into the ceiling, merging seamlessly with the palace structure itself.
Jax looked at the Faerie Queen as she sat on that magnificent throne. She was absolutely breathtaking.
Even compared to the other faeries they had seen so far, her presence stood apart.
