"The Demon King."
The title lingered quietly in the room. Yet there was no fear behind Seraphina's voice anymore. Despite what she had been told about Demons in the past, she completely trusted Jax after he saved her.
Jax looked down at her for a brief moment, golden eyes studying the small Merfolk Princess clinging to him so naturally now. Then he sighed softly through his nose.
"…Yeah."
Seraphina's arms tightened around him again immediately after he answered, like hearing him confirm it somehow reassured her further.
The healers nearby exchanged faintly amused looks. One of them smiled politely, "She's attached very quickly. It's quite cute Your Majesty,"
Jax glanced sideways at them.
"…I noticed."
Seraphina puffed her cheeks slightly, "I'm not attached. You just feel very warm and comfortable," Seraphina said as a rebuttal.
The healers looked unconvinced and Jax looked even less convinced, "You've been holding onto me for the last five minutes."
"…That doesn't count."
