Through the arrangements automatically done by the system governing the whole store, two separate private lecture halls had been created on the second floor of the Divine Convenience Store.
On the left, the hall dedicated to Xingxing shimmered with an ethereal, pearlescent light. The atmosphere inside was suffused with her calming, beautiful aura and floating motes of petal-like light that drifted through the air. The seats were plush, arranged in a semi-circle around a simple, elegant jade dais. It was a space designed for serene contemplation as well as aesthetic admiration.
On the right, Danzhu's hall was functional and it smelled faintly of burning ingredients and rare herbs. It was a proper alchemical laboratory, with rows of reinforced stone tables, demonstration cauldrons, and complex diagrams of molecular structures and energy flows projected onto the walls. It was a space for practical, dangerous work.
