"Well if you're going to ask me like that then fucking no," Edward burst out laughing filling the car with the most beautiful sound. Even though my ego was bruised I couldn't help but feel elated that we could laugh and joke around with each other after the most tense months of our lives.
"Well I'm not going to ask you again," I teased, "You're going to be boyfriend-less for a long time because of your pride."
"Don't be bitter Connie," he raised my hand to his heart, "You're an idiot but that's why I like you and your perfect jaw."
We continued to banter until we left the city and drove for a further thirty minutes. The closer we neared the farm lands, Edward started to grow quiet. I could see the gears working in his head as he eyed the landscape.
"We have a game coming up in a few weeks, are you trying to do something?"
I couldn't help but laugh at him, "Trust me I'm not that desperate to win. I brought you to a beer festival."
